'Pop Up Video' Returns

Last September the much-beloved music video series Pop Up Video returned to VH-1 after a long hiatus away and next week, the show is BACK for season 2. As you can see above, Gotye‘s ridiculously infectious (and seemingly inescapable) hit Somebody That I Used To Know is among the new videos to get the Pop Up treatment. As a long-time fan of Pop Up Video, I am VERY excited that the show is back for season 2. In addition to Gotye, I imagine videos by Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Nicki Minaj and more will get popped in season 2. Which videos would YOU like to see on the show this season?

‘Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog’ Will Debut On TV This Fall

Back in 2008, Joss Whedon produced a 3-act web series called Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog that starred Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day. These days, Whedon is a big-time movie director, Harris and Fillion are big-time TV stars and Day is the Queen of all Geekdom … which is why it’s the perfect time for Dr. Horrible to make the transition from the computer screen to the small screen. This Fall, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog will air in full on TV so that countless new fans can fall in love with the brilliant and hilarious series. More »

For the past 3 years, Paranormal Activity has been scaring up audiences in movie theaters here in the US and around the world. This Fall, the 4th installment of the Paranormal film franchise will debut to try and scare us all over again. The series has been pretty hit or miss for me. I loved Paranormal Activity but I really hated Part 2. I thought Part 3 was entertaining enough so … I’m up for Part 4. CBS Is Planning A Reboot TV Series Of ‘The Brady Bunch’

Welp, it was bound to happen sooner or later. In the 90′s, two parody films were made to some success but today we learn that CBS has teamed up with Vince Vaughn to reboot the classic TV series The Brady Bunch. In this instance, tho, the plan is not to remake and retell the Brady story that we already know. First Look: Bradley Cooper Stars In ‘The Elephant Man’

Last Spring it was reported that Bradley Cooper would be starring in a new Broadway production of the 1977 play The Elephant Man. Today we get our first look at Cooper in character as Joseph Merrick (more commonly known as the Elephant Man) as previews for the play get underway in Massachusetts. This new production of the play will run at the Williamstown Theatre in Williamstown, MA through this weekend when it will then move to Broadway. Back in May we got to check out the first domestic movie trailer for the forthcoming new James Bond film titled Skyfall. Today we get to check out the newly released international trailer for the film … and it is must see. There’s a new villain in town, played by Javier Bardem, and we get to meet him for the first time in this new trailer. We also get a better understanding about the film’s plot line. As I’ve made clear many times before, Daniel Craig is my favorite James Bond. I am very much looking forward to seeing him in action again as 007. I only kinda liked the first trailer, I really love this one.

Yesterday was a marginally bizzy day for me. I had a bit of running around to do in the afternoon and then last night, David and I met up with Tam and Rob for a long overdue dinner/hang session. Because David and I have to fly back East this weekend for another wedding (#6 of 8, if you’re keeping count) I had to run a few errands before we fly off again. I managed to get everything done, meet up with David as his office and then make our way to Silverlake to meet up with Tam and Rob. More »

Back in 2010 we started hearing murmurs that a new live action film based on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was going into production. At the time, the names of a few actors started to make the rounds but nothing concrete was ever confirmed. Today we learn that the Masters of the Universe movie is really going to happen and that Jon M. Chu will direct. Chu is currently hard at work on the G.I. Joe sequel movie (which was supposed to be released this year but has been pushed back to next year) but according to a new report, he has also signed on to direct the new He-Man movie. More »

Back in March we learned that Maroon 5 frontman and judge on The Voice Adam Levine was in talks to join the season 2 cast of American Horror Story … in April, we heard from Adam himself about how he got the part. Today we get our first look at the singer-turned-actor on the set of AHS season 2. Show creator Ryan Murphy joined Twitter this weekend and is using his account to share this behind the scenes stuff.
