Chris Brown Still Under The Watch Of Probation Officers
In Court But "Made Great Strides"

Chris Brown is set to appear on the Grammy Awards this Sunday night and is up for 3 awards, including Best R&B Album. There have been rumors going around the past few weeks that he and Rihanna, his girlfriend who he assaulted a few years ago, have been hooking up again. Now we are hearing that Chris has been in court this week to discuss the remainder of his sentence and has been ordered by a judge to remain under the close supervision of his probation officer. He has completed half of his community service and has been told to finish that up under the eye of ‘big brother.’

Brown’s attorney argued in court yesterday that the singer has been honest with probation officers, passed all of his drug tests and has “made great strides” while under supervision. Brown has also completed half of six months of community service, including roadside cleanup and graffiti removal. Judge Goerge Lomeli said in his ruling that it was not unreasonable for the star to remain under supervision until he completes more of his community service hours.

It was never confirmed whether Chris and Ri-Ri were in fact ‘hanging out.’ These were all just rumors and my personal opinion is that it wasn’t quite accurate. I am even more convinced of this now given that Chris is still in and out of court and dealing with his sentence, probation officers and community service. I cant imagine that Ri-Ri is able to put all of that behind her and ‘hook up’ with Chris…

Chris’ attorney is saying that he has “made great strides” and is doing well with his community service and drug tests. The court though has still decided that he needs to remain under the watchful eye of probation. I am happy to hear that Chris is reforming, but it does still give me chills thinking about him beating up Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time. It actually makes me feel slightly sick.

What are you thoughts about Chris given this new information from the courts?
Do you think Chris deserves to win the Grammy this year?

    Once a hitter, always a hitter. He is scum. Absolute scum.

    • Trent Trent says:

      @Tyler — I agree.

      So does that mean Rhianna is absolute scum as well since one time she was so angry with her brother she hit him in the face with a glass bottle… By your logic guess she’s a hitter for life too..

      Or are we turning a blind eye to her admitted violence cause we didn’t see the bruised face of her brother…

      I’m not defending CB, he was wrong and honestly I think he’s a jerk, but this double standard annoys me to no end…

    I think he’s a great entertainer (in terms of singing and dancing), but obviously not a good person. I feel sorry for his current girlfriend.

    To be honest they are both abusive individuals , neither one better than the other and like the other commenter said, if by both yours and Tyler’s logic, if Chris brown is scum so is Rihanna. Just because Rihanna’s assault became public doesn’t negate the fact that the woman has anger management issues herself and a violent nature that one day she will need to address as well. They were toxic to one another , with neither right in the matter. I am not defending Chris brown, as I find what he did reprehensible and disgusting but I find the double standard ridiculous since it has been said time and time again that Rihanna was an abusive person as well. Just like it is not right for a man to hit a woman , it is not right for a woman to hit man and based on her history with her brother and her relationship with Chris, rihanna has as much issues as Chris does and those two should of never been together. I personally don’t like either person’s music, but if Chris is genuinely trying to change , I think people should try to give the guy a second chance. As for the Grammy, i didn’t listen to his album, but if it was a good album that deserves the Grammy then he should receive it if he wins. I don’t think his past should have any bearing on whether he deserves the Grammy or not.

    @Hapacalgirl & @blaqfury Fair enough. And perhaps because the photo of Rihanna was released I feel so strongly about Chris. His violent outburst at the Today Show interview just showed he hasn’t changed. He can do all the probation he wants to, and good on him for doing that, but I believe if a man hits once, he will hit again. And I also don’t dispute that Rihanna has issues as well. But we don’t know the circumstances of her hitting her brother with a bottle. But Trent’s article was regarding Chris, not Rihanna, and I was simply giving my opinion on him. I don’t like him. And never will. He IS scum.

    I for one, am not happy to see Chris Brown being readily embraced back on the scene.

    There’s an article that’s circling the internet right now that I think hits it right on the head. The reaction of Hollywood media, and even other celebrites to domestic violence has been downright baffling:
