Last month we learned that promotion for the upcoming big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games would include a line of cosmetics called Capitol Colours that will be made available for sale to fans. As you may recall, the fictional character Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks) is the official face of Capitol Colours. Today we learn that a website called Capitol Couture has been launched … and altho there aren’t many details about the site itself, it seems to me that it has much to do with the Capitol Colours line of cosmetic products.

Premiering Soon: Capitol Couture
Introducing Capitol Couture — Whether you’re a Capitol fashionista or a style-crazed District citizen, there’s only one place to turn for all the tips, tricks and trends you need to look your best. “The Hunger Games is the most public, prestigious event of the year in Panem. Cleanliness, dress and comportment offer an opportunity to affirm District pride and Capitol loyalty.” – Caesar Flickerman

Head over to CapitolCouture.pn and enter the password #LOOKYOURBEST to gain access to the site. There you can enter your email address to be altered when the site is updated next with new information. I am really impressed with the promotion for The Hunger Games thus far. Making available a line of Capitol-approved items that fans can wear for the theatrical release of The Hunger Games in March is BRILLIANT! This site looks like it’s going to be THE place for Games fans to congregate as we all prepare for the film’s premiere. I am really looking forward to seeing what this site will have to offer fans.

I cannot wait for this site to get going! GENIUS idea. Love it! And Effie looks fabulous, by the way!
OMG I loove this!
Yay! It’s a Tumblr site! Gonna love having some Hunger Games on my dash!!!!
I apologize for my ignorance but what is the Hunger Games books are about?
I looked at the photo alone and thought, “Hey, Christina Aguilera is coming out with a new album!”
Holy crap, she looks GORGEOUS. This is the best photo I’ve seen of Elizabeth as Effie yet. Though I have to say, I don’t love how much marketing their doing before the film even comes out. I had when franchises milk movies/books as a brand.
