Earlier this morning we heard that Chloe Sevigny was added to the cast of Lovelace. Now, more news on that front — Us Weekly has reported that they have hired Mary-Louise Parker as the replacement for Demi Moore. Read on to find out more about this casting update. Us Weekly claim to know that the producers of Lovelace have made a decision about who to replace Demi with, and that it is Mary-Louise Parker. If they have got it right, and the producers have made a decision on the new cast member, it was a pretty quick decision, having only heard about Demi’s withdrawal from the film a few days ago. Still, this could certainly have been done quickly as shooting has already started and they would need to fill the role fast.
UPDATE: It would seem that US Weekly either got their Parkers mixed up or they were just completely wrong … because it has been revealed that Sarah Jessica Parker is the actress cast to play Gloria Steinem in Lovelace:
Sarah Jessica Parker has signed on to the role of Gloria Steinem in Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s Lovelace, the Millennium Films biopic about the iconic adult-film star that toplines Amanda Seyfried along with Peter Skarsgaard. Demi Moore was set to play Steinem before pulling out this week to seek treatment for exhaustion. The film has already begun production.

I am very happy about this movie about Linda Lovelace’s life as a feminist author. Im sure mary louise parker would play a great Gloria Steinem. i think Linda and gloria were the best antipornographer feminist of the 1980s. i cant wait to see this film
