Over the weekend, we learned that Nick Cannon made his first post-surgery public appearance at The BET Honors in Washington DC (with wife Mariah Carey and son Moroccan Scott by his side). Today we get to check out a very cute personal photo shared by Mimi on her official Twitter profile from her recent visit to our nation’s capitol. In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day yesterday, Mariah shared a photo of she and Nick at the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. Check out the photo below.

Let me say, again, that it is so great to see Nick back on his feet after his scary medical woes. It looks like the love of a good woman is helping the guy recuperate nicely. I really love that Mariah and Nick paid a visit to the MLK Memorial statue while they were in DC last weekend and they share this photo with us. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Washington DC but I really want to get back there so I can visit the memorial myself. I just love everything about this photo … keep on gettin’ well, Nick!
