Congratulations are in order for lovebirds Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez because today we learn that they are engaged to be wed! The happy news, by way of People magazine, originates from Halle‘s jeweler who spills the deets about the engagement ring that Olivier had designed for her. As you may recall, the initial news of Justin Timberlake‘s engagement to Jessica Biel came via their jeweler as well … so, apparently, jewelers are now the source for all new celebrity engagements.

It sounds like wedding bells will chime for Halle Berry! A rep for jewelry designer Gurhan tells PEOPLE that Olivier Martinez, Berry’s boyfriend of more than a year, has given her a diamond-and-emerald engagement ring. The Oscar-winning actress, 45, costarred with Martinez, 46, a French actor, in the 2010 film Dark Tide. They soon became an item off-screen. The couple were most recently spotted last weekend, having a quiet date night at Iris, Cirque du Soleil’s film-history-themed show at the Kodak Theatre in L.A. Berry has been married twice before – to baseball player David Justice in the early 1990s, and to singer Eric Benét in the early 2000s. She has a daughter, Nahla, who will be 4 in March, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. A rep for Berry did not immediately reply to a request for comment on the engagement.

I’m usually reluctant to believe engagement rumors before they are officially confirmed but Halle is rockin’ a PHAT ring on the right finger (see above) and, in terms of the Hollywood timeline, it’s about the right time for Halle and Olivier to get hitched. I say, let’s send our tentative congrats to the happy couple and wish them all the best. Halle and Oliver make a great couple so … I think a Woot! is in order :)
