Giuliana & Bill Rancic Enjoy Their First Kiss Of 2012
Healthy New Year

Last week we learned that E! News correspondant <strong>Giuliana Rancic returned to work 2 weeks after her successful double mastectomy cancer surgery. A day later, we learned that she and hubby Bill Rancic attended their first in-person appearance together here in SoCal. Today we get to see a couple of really cute photos of Giuliana and Bill enjoying a New Year’s kiss together at the stroke of midnight. Check out the photos below.

The bells tolled out 2011 and into a new year for E! News host Giuliana Rancic not only cancer free but with a kiss from her adoring husband. With a single foot lightly lifted in the air, Mrs Rancic leaned back in the arms of husband Bill at New York City’s Times Square. The couple celebrated 2012 jointly hosting the NIVEA Kiss Stage. ‘What a difference a year makes,’ Mr Rancic, 40, told People Magazine. ‘Our goal is to really live in the present – to enjoy life,’ he said with his wife chiming that earlier in the year her resolution planned to be in relation to eating less dessert. But following her unexpected and recent double mastectomy for breast cancer, the couple admit their priorities have easily changed. ‘So much of these past few months has been worrying about the future, the future, the future,’ Giuliana told People. ‘Am I going to live? Am I going to have to do chemo? And it’s just so much worrying about the future,’ she explained. The procedure was done just two days after she announced she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Almost immediately following her surgery Giuliana sat down with NBC’s The Today Show to speak about her trial. While visibly shaking at times, the E! host said it was worth it if it motivated other women to get screened. Her husband attending explained, ‘I think our story has a happy ending. And that’s the good thing. ‘It’s very treatable, it’s 100 percent treatable when you catch it early and that’s the main message I think. You’ve got to get after this thing sooner rather than later.’ Giuliana, who returned to her presenting duties on E! News just two weeks later, first announced her breast cancer battle earlier in the autumn before undergoing a four-hour double mastectomy on December 13. Doctors have reported there is a ‘less than a one percent chance [the cancer] would reoccur,’ Mr Rancic said shortly after the procedure.

2011 may not have been a great year for Giuliana and Bill but here they are, at the start of a new year … happy and HEALTHY. If Giuliana‘s story has taught me anything, it’s that we should be very thankful for the blessings in our lives. And when adversity strikes, there’s something to be said for keeping as positive an attitude as possible in the face of tragedy. I know that the genuine love and happiness we see in these photos is real. I can’t even imagine the fear that this couple has endured in recent months … but there is no fear to be seen in these photos … only love and gratitude that they get to share another kiss on New Year’s Eve :)

I hope 2012 brings them the child that they want so badly. I watched their show and was so sad watching their struggles but turned it into a positive (I heard that it was doing some testing because they couldn’t get pregnant was how she discovered the cancer so quickly/early).

Love these two as a couple! They seem very real. I’m glad she’s on the mend and LOVE her positivity! I hope these two can get their baby soon. They are so deserving.

Glad to see that Giuliana has decided to put her life first as opposed to E!News. I really do admire them as a couple and hope that their dreams for a child come to reality. I am a breast cancer survivor of 9 years going on 10, and just lost my co-teacher to Cancer that she struggled with for 40 years. First, thyroid, then, Colon, then, breast (had a double masectomy), then, it metastisized per her examination in November (to both lungs/brain). Good luck you two.
