Back in May of last year, we learned that David Beckham would be unveiling a line of products that would include fragrances and his own line of underwear. David Beckham Bodywear will be available for purchase exclusively at H&M next month … and today we get our FIRST LOOK at Becks‘s newest underwear ad. As you may recall, Becks previously (and very famously) modeled for Armani Underwear … now he is modeling his own line of underwear. Fashion giant H&M has teamed up with footballer David Beckham to distribute his eagerly awaited “Bodywear” line, which will launch 2nd February 2012 to coincide with Valentine’s Day. The long-term partnership will see the new range stocked in 1800 stores in more than 40 countries. “Over the past year, I’ve been developing my Bodywear range with my team and I’m extremely positive about what we have designed and produced,” said David Beckham. “The final piece in the jigsaw was a retail partner who has the vision and capability to distribute these products globally. In H&M we have found the perfect partner to collaborate with going forward, I’m excited and looking forward to showcasing the range to H&M customers from February.”

Yes, Jebus, THANK YOU FOR THIS BOUNTY! To be honest, I had totally forgotten that Becks was planning the release of his own underwear line … and when I first saw this new promo image, my initial reaction was that it was a fake. But … this is REAL LIFE, people! David Beckham‘s underwear, excuse me, Bodywear will be available for sale at H&M retailers worldwide in just a few weeks. The Armani Underwear that Becks previously modeled cost about $40 a pair … David Beckham Bodywear, as you can see above, will only cost around $9.99 a pair — what a bargain! I am very much looking forward to seeing more images from this ad campaign. If Becks wants to sell underwear, he knows what he’s going to have to do … and for that we can be eternally grateful. Woot!!
