Earlier today we learned the news that actors Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are engaged to be married via the couple’s engagement ring jeweler. Right now we also learn that actors Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell are also reportedly engaged to be married … and, again, the story comes via the new engagement bling that ERW is rockin’ these days. Some of you may know that Evan was previously engaged to be married to Marilyn Manson but while that on-again/off-again relationship couldn’t stand the test of time, it would seem that ERW‘s current relationship with Jamie can. Jamie Bell is ready to make an honest woman out of Evan Rachel Wood! The British actor, 25, recently proposed to the True Blood actress, a source confirms to Us Weekly. The Billy Elliot star was first spotted shopping for engagement rings in late December. When contacted by Us, Wood’s rep had no comment. Wood, 24, showed off her solitaire sparkler late Saturday night while leaving The Hotel Cafe with Bell in Hollywood. The couple, who got matching tattoos during their one-year courtship in 2006, got back together last summer. The pair met in 2005 as costars in Green Day’s “Wake Me Up When September Ends” music video. This is the second engagement for Wood, who called off wedding plans with Marilyn Manson in 2010.

Honestly, I had forgotten that Evan and Jamie dated back in 2006 may before she hooked up with Marilyn Manson. I suppose the couple were truly meant to be together after all. I have to say, I much prefer ERW with Jamie than with MM. Jamie Bell is not only a hugely talented actor but he seems like the right guy for Evan. They’re very close in age and maturity and they just look good together. I’m all for this engagement, if true. Let’s send our (tentative) congrats to ERW and JB, shall we?
