Back in March of last year, we saw a few photos of Drew Barrymore and her then-newish beau Will Kopleman kissing up a storm as they sat courtside at an LA Lakers basketball game here in LA. Today we learn from US Weekly magazine that the pair have reportedly gotten engaged to be wed. Again, this is one of those tabloid stories where a “source confirms” that the pair have gotten engaged but considering how much lurve Drew and Will obviously have, I’m leaning toward believing the verity of this report. If so, congrats are deffo in order.
Drew’s New Year is going to be extra happy! Drew Barrymore is engaged to beau Will Kopelman, a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. Kopelman, 34, popped the question in Sun Valley, Idaho around the holidays, according to the insider. An art consultant and son of the former CEO of Chanel, Arie Kopelman, Will first stepped out with the Going the Distance actress, 36, in February of last year. (According to a source, the couple dated briefly in 2010 but split up at the time, reuniting the following year.) And, indeed, back in October, a Barrymore pal told Us that the former child star was “yearning to get married and have kids,” with Kopelman poised to propose “around the one-year mark of their dating.” “He’s madly in love and knows she’s The One,” the insider said of her handsome guy.
If, indeed, Drew and Will are lookin’ to get hitched, it will be her 3rd time down the aisle. Drew first married Jeremy Thomas way back in March of 1994, then she married comic Tom Green in July of 2001. Since her divorce from Tom, she’s dated a few guys but none of those relationships seemed serious. This really lovey relationship with Will seems to be the real deal … well, at least from a PDA standpoint. According to People magazine, Drew’s new engagement ring was designed by Graff Diamonds so … I suppose tentative congrats are in order. I don’t really believe anything until stuff like this is actually officially confirmed as true but … I’d like to see these two get hitched. Hopefully, at last, Drew has finally found Mr. Right.
