Beyoncé’s Rep Says The ‘Star’ Magazine Interview Is ‘Completely Made Up’
'Star' Magazine Maintains the Interivew is Real

Yesterday I blogged about a new interview with Beyoncé published by British Star magazine that is alleged to be the FIRST interview with the new mom since she gave birth a little over a week ago. Even as I shared the interview excerpts with all of you, I was VERY suspicious of the verity of the interview because it made NO SENSE to me that Beyoncé would give any interview to any publication this soon after giving birth. Today we learn from Beyoncé‘s press rep that the interview, unsurprisingly, is “completely made up” and is “absolutely not” real. Amazingly, Star magazine maintains that the interview is real because they “bought the interview from a reporter in the U.S.” … but I’m deffo gonna believe Beyoncé‘s press rep over a delusional British tabloid.

Beyonce did not give an interview to British gossip magazine Star, about the birth of her baby, Blue Ivy, a rep for the superstar told Access Hollywood. Although the British publication was widely mentioned across the internet on Tuesday, in association with quotes about motherhood attributed to the new mom, her rep insists it’s not a real interview. “Completely made up,” the rep told Access. When asked if the interview was legitimate, the rep responded, “absolutely not.” However, when reached by Access Hollywood on Tuesday, an editor for the magazine said the publication stands by their story. “It is not made up or fictitious at all. We bought the interview from a reporter in the U.S. who conducted the interview with Beyonce before the birth. The reporter then obtained the ‘top-up’ info after the birth, which we believe to have been signed off by a girl on her LSM team,” the Star UK editor told Access Hollywood. Star UK’s online article makes no reference to two interviews – one before – and one after — having taken place. The headline on the story online reads, “Beyonce WORLD EXCLUSIVE first interview” and “Beyonce reveals to Star how she felt after giving birth to Blue Ivy.” In fact, the first line of the story appears to indicate that the quotes came from one interview after the birth of Blue Ivy. “Talking exclusively to Star in her first interview since giving birth, Beyonce Knowles told us she had an ‘instant connection’ with her daughter Blue Ivy,” the article states. Beyonce and husband Jay-Z have been notoriously private about their personal lives, rarely speaking about their own relationship in public.

Yeah, I am not surprised by this in the least. I did not for a second believe the “first interview” with Beyoncé was genuine. I was expecting this refutation by Beyoncé‘s press rep … as well as the assertion from Star magazine that they did nothing wrong. By maintaining they simply bought the interview and believe it to be true, they prolly feel like they’ve done nothing wrong … and will likely capitalize from the misleading headline that they scored the “first Beyoncé interview” — which is shady as Hell! Beyoncé *may* give an interview at some point … but expect it to come from a publication like Vanity Fair or Vogue or some other really high profile magazine. But, don’t hold your breath … Bey is a fiercely private person. It could take many months for her to finally decide to talk about the birth of Blue Ivy.

i think we all knew it was a fake.it kills me that even though we all know star is wrong, they’ll stick to their story that there right.

Strange that they would dare do this considering the Leveson inquiry going in here in the UK which is scrutinizing the press and their behavior towards people’s privacy. In fact just today one of the gossip mags here was called up to explain why they claimed on their front cover to have an exclusive interview with Kate middleton when they didn’t. You’d think they were going to take more care with their sources, particularly when theyre paying money for them and could be accused of obtaining info illegally.

Can someone please put this mag out of business already? They need to shut down. Their articles are obviously for the most part fake or irrelevant, or both.
