Last Wednesday rumors were flying around that the heavily pregs Beyoncé secretly checked herself into a hospital so that she could give birth to her first baby with hubby Jay-Z in private. On Friday, the rumor mill churned out the report that Beyoncé gave birth to a baby girl that was named Tiana May. Today we learn that both rumors are likely untrue because the still pregnant Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z were spotted out in public last night celebrating New Year’s Eve with friends in Brooklyn, NY.
As we’ve noted in the past, Beyoncé—and by extension, her husband Jay-Z—have immaculate restaurant taste. So it’s really no surprise that on our way out the door from celebrating New Year’s at one of our favorite Brooklyn restaurants, Buttermilk Channel, that we heard whispers that the couple was on their way. Damn, really? And sure enough, we soon could confirm that Jay, B and unborn child were seated in a cozy table in the back. So, no, she did not check into the hospital to have her baby.
As far as I can tell, there are no photographs of B-Jay out in public last night but I am leaning toward believing the verity of this report over the shady rumors that were flying around last week. There has been much talk that Beyoncé’s due date is actually sometime in February so … we may still have a month or two of Beyoncé Giving Birth rumors to come. At this point, I’m now pretty sure that Bey is still pregs. Let the Bump Watch continue!!!

Another hollywood diva that doesnt want to ruin the figure she has with a baby. Im sure they re counting the days till the announcement waiting on the surrogate to have labor pains…

Well I’m not sure what’s really going on but I do know she was supposed to perform on Dick Clark’s Rockin New Years Eve & Ryan Secrest said she wouldn’t be performing bc she’s getting ready to have her baby. They played a taped performance instead. So that makes me believe she is close to having the baby…otherwise, surely she would have performed, right?
More likely she agreed to perform before getting pregnant and pulled out because who in their right mind, near the end of their pregnancy, would be up late at night performing for some stupid tv show?
Jay-Z was in Kentucky watching UK play basketball on NYE. The game started at noon so I’m sure he could be back for a night out with Beyonce, but when I saw him in the stands at the game I figured surely he wouldn’t be out of state if she had had the baby or was getting ready to pop.
She is still carrying way to high to be close to giving birth anytime soon. Watch for that baby to drop and then you’ll know the time is near.
I’ve been Around the pregnant block a few times so I’ve got at least a vague idea of what bellies are likely to look like at various stages of gestation (also worked in obstetrics for 3 yrs so there’s that too). Here’s the deal – if that baby is born any time soon, it’s a really good bet shes got a surrogate stashed somewhere and the belly has been an elaborate fake.
Personally – I don’t subscribe to the fake theory, but I do think she’s at least a month (probably 2) or so away from having a baby. Given all the fluctuation in her belly size (which is totally plausible, btw…lots of women look more pregnant one day and less the next, but that’s an early 2nd trimester thing…once the baby gets past a certain size, it’s gonna take up real estate period) – I’m guessing she’s in the 28-30 wk range which means a feb due date.
JMO of course but…will be highly skeptical if that baby pops in the next few weeks.
@Sfmom – I agree with you 100% on everything you said. But wouldn’t Seacrest have been given the correct info? Someone (a producer) must have told him B was giving birth, I don’t see him saying that just because of the rumors that have been going around the past few days.
Unless she has cancelled everything from now until she gives birth (in Feb.) and is giving the official reason as “preparing for the birth of her child”.
Beyonce is not pregnant. Its hard to believe that any woman would want to be so private about the birth of their first child. I understand keeping your relationship private, but the birth of you first child should be and event that changes even the most secretive people. This is an experience she will never get back and the fact that she does not even talk about the baby, how it is to be pregnant, what it feels like, cravings, swollen feet, seeing her baby’s face for the first time, or just being excited at all to me means that she is NOT experiencing pregnancy. and walking around in 6 inch heels all the time…nice try beyonce! How can an international star pass up the opportunity to grace the cover of so many magazines pregnant…like are you serious beyonce?? if you wanted to be hush hush about this, you wouldn’t have announced it live on t.v. in front of millions of people. time will tell, all things in the dark will come to light. and for whom ever asked why everyone thinks she’s about to give birth is because beyonce’s dumb ass made a video holding and news paper saying today is September 23 and i’m 6 months pregnant….google it.
I disagree. I’m pregnant and I don’t want to talk about it with everyone. This pregnancy was planned and I am excited, but I’ve been so sick for the last 14 weeks that I don’t want to constantly have to either tell my grossness when people ask or lie and say I’m fine. I also try to purposely not talk about this baby all the time because I know that it’s annoying to other people if that’s all they hear you talk about. Her baby is part of her private life– not her public one. I’m actually SHOCKED she announced it the way she did.
I think she’s pregnant. And I don’t blame her for not wanting to talk to the media about her pregnancy…just because she isn’t giving interviews about her cravings, etc. doesn’t mean her friends and family don’t hear about it :) She’s been private all through her career, so this is just par for the course, I think!
And, lots of women experience complications and are ordered on bed rest or limited duties (at work, etc) at the end of their pregnancies, so maybe that is why she had to cancel her performance. She probably just doesn’t want to share with the world what the condition or complication may be. I had a complication during my first pregnancy that would have meant bed rest toward the end if it hadn’t corrected itself, and I was uncomfortable talking about it with people I didn’t really know, because not everyone wants to hear about the inner workings of my uterus…just saying :)

If I were pregnant and a public figure, I would be talking about it with people I actually knew, not the public at large. that would be none of their business.
The thing is she announced it in a very public way, which yes for someone who was so private was kind of our of character. And when the infamous belly fold happened she didn’t do much to deflate (no pun intended) the rumors. For someone who danced around on stage wearing next to nothing, one would think she’d jump at the chance to do a bare belly shot ala Demi Moore or Britney Spears so when she didn’t it sort of made people doubt she’s really pregnant. I get that she doesn’t have to prove anything to the public but with so many questioning it, I’d want to shut the naysayers up…but to each his/her own!
I’m confused but i think she should be pregnant cause telling lies in public doesnt help,the truth always comes forth,so since she said she is and she preffers it private,its her life we love her music and it wil be a great disappointment if she is lying especially to the fans!! greatest happiness Beyonce and Jay!
