We’ve already had a BUNCH of great Madonna news today … first we got our FIRST LOOK at her vibrant and powerful album cover art for her new album M.D.N.A. and then we got our FIRST LOOK at her performance stage for her big Super Bowl XLVI halftime show which will take place LIVE this coming Sunday. Right now, we get to watch Madonna‘s full video interview from her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night. While Maddy didn’t really drop any new information about her album or SB performance, she did her duty to promote her directorial debut film W.E. and she shared a cute story about her first MTV Video Music Awards performance back in 1984. Taylor Lautner Will NOT Star As Stretch Armstrong

Back in February of 2010, we first heard that Twilight star Taylor Lautner would be starring in the big screen adaptation of Stretch Armstrong … a film based on the toy of the same name. Since that time, we really haven’t heard much about the film … not the storyline, not other casting … pretty much nothing. Well, today we get an update … it turns out that Stretch Armstrong the movie has been passed by Universal Studios to Relativity productions … and Taylor Lautner is no longer attached to the film. I mean, I gotta say … this is GREAT news for Lautner‘s film career. Read on for more deets. More »

Jack White Readies The Release Of His First Solo Album

Detroit rocker Jack White, of the White Stripes, The Raconteurs and the Dead Weather, is going solo. White has announced the forthcoming release of his solo debut album Blunderbuss in April and this week has released his debut solo single Love Interruption. According to White himself, the collection of songs on Blunderbuss are completely new compositions … that is, they are not left over tracks from his work with the White Stripes, The Raconteurs or any of his many other collaborations. Alec Baldwin, one of the stars of 30 Rock, happened to come upon some inside info in the SNL studios and is blabbing today that Justin Bieber is among the celebs who will be hosting SNL in the coming weeks and months (you may recall that The Biebs was the musical guest on SNL back in April of 2010). Simon Cowell Releases A Statement About The ‘X Factor’ Bloodbath

Earlier today we learned that Simon Cowell made the executive decision to fire Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones from The X Factor and right now we get to read his just released official statement on the firings. Simon‘s statement is short but is full of thank yous and love … but no sign of apologies. Simon maintains that he plans on working again with Paula Abdul on a new project in the future. Paula, for her part, has been very magnanimous about her very public axing from The X Factor. Each year, Vanity Fair magazine selects a number of actresses to grace the fold-out cover of their annual Hollywood Issue and today we get our first look at this year’s cover. Jennifer Lawrence, Rooney Mara, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska made it on the main front panel of the cover and as you fold out the full cover we also see that Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins and Brit Marling round out this year’s collection of VF Hollywood Issue coverstars. Blah. The good news is that the cold I was coming down with back home in Detroit is almost completely gone (thank you meds) but the bad news is that my allergies kicked into high gear late Sunday night/early Monday morning. A few years ago, I used to suffer from allergy outbreaks of hives but these days, I don’t really get them anymore … that is, unless I’m around cats for extended periods of time. Since I was staying at my BFF Sarah’s place last week, I think her two kitties caused my flare up. Yesterday was mostly an uncomfortable day of hives but, thankfully, they have almost entirely gone away today. Since I wasn’t really in the mood to go out, I got to spend some time watching TV … including last night’s FABULOUS season 4 premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race. More »

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Scarlett Johansson out and about with a man but this week, she was spotted in NYC in the close company of a mysterious new fella. As you may recall, Scarlett was last seen publicly in the close company of actor Sean Penn last May but the pair ended up breaking off their involvement last June (one month before her marriage to Ryan Reynolds was officially ended in July).
