Not The End Of The World

Welp, it’s 12/21/12 here in the US and, as far as I can tell, the world hasn’t come to an end. All that ridiculous nonsense about the Mayan Calendar “predicting the end of the world” looks to be just that … nonsense. At the very least, I hope you guys have been having fun with the silliness. Last night I made my way down to Manhattan Beach to hang out with Emma and Josh because I haven’t seen Josh in ages and, to be honest, I’ve been missing Emma’s crazy face ever since we returned home from Hawai’i. It was a chill but very fun night.

Emma and Josh love luring down to MB because they want everyone to love their little town as much as they do. There are a lot of great restaurants and bars down there so I always have fun with them, it’s just a shame that LA traffic makes the trek down to the beach so painfully terrible. Still, I’m glad I went down to hang. Josh and I got to enjoy some good quality time together, for the first time in a few weeks. I can’t make any promises but I might have to spend more time at the beach hanging out with those two.

I have a bunch of things to take care of this afternoon and tonight, I’m heading out to UCLA to see Rufus and Martha Wainwright in concert! They’re putting on an Xmas show and I am really excited. Altho I’m not really in the Xmas spirit this year, I have been looking forward to this show so hopefully it’ll be fun. I hope YOU are having a great Friday … and will enjoy a happy weekend ahead :D

I was so scared that the end of times was upon us only because I paid off my car note last week. I would have been, “Ain’t that some shit” as the meteors (or whatever) were hurling towards me.

    • @AwesomeMargie — LOL :)

“. I would have been, “Ain’t that some shit” as the meteors (or whatever) were hurling towards me.”

Ha! For some reason that phrase is just perfect. :D

The world didn’t end today because we held the Mayan calendar upside down. It’s really going to happen in 2102! ;)

See the thing is, the Mayans never said the end of their calendar meant the end of the world. So…that was all BS in the first place :)

That said I’m kind of surprised we haven’t seen reports of people killing their children/pets because they thought it was the end of the world-like earlier this year.

I’m pretty sure they have said. When the Calendar ends it starts over. No Mayans were actually worried about this.

      lol :)

I wasn’t really concerned, but you can’t help but think… what if it had. I would have spent my last week on earth being super stressed about work – what a waste!

The Mayans didnt account for leap year. If there had been no leap years, today would actually be July 28, 2013, so the world should have ended more than 7 months ago :)

Trent: Do you know why Nina Gordon dropped off the face of the earth? Miss her making music, but most importantly hoping she’s healthy & happy

    • @Joel — Nina has a family, 2 young children, and I believe she is writing for other projects. As far as I know, she is happy enjoying her homelife … tho, I hope she makes a return to music again :)
