Aloha from Hawai’i! Emma and I made it to Honolulu last night without incident and find ourselves happily settled in our temporary home away from home. As you may know, I’ll be running the 40th annual Honolulu Marathon on Sunday and altho I’m FAR from ready for the daunting task I’ve signed up for, I’m excited to run the race nonetheless. I have a bunch of things to take care of today to prepare for the race Sunday morning but all of the prep is fun. It’s going to be a bizzy day but I’m looking forward to it all.
First up, I have to get to the Hawaii Convention Center to pick up my race bib for the race. Later this evening, Em and I will be attending the pre-race Luau dinner and concert. I’m not sure what we’ll be doing in between but the fact that we’re in paradise should make it very easy for us to figure it out. As much as I’d LOVE to relax, I can’t really do so until after the race Sunday. I’m not being humble when I say I’m not ready. I’m telling you, I’m not ready. BUT, I know I’m going to finish the race and hopefully do so in a respectable time. Once that part is behind me, then I can chill the eff out. It’s a little daunting but I’m looking forward to the challenge. I guess we’ll have to see how it all turns out :)
I hope YOU are having an amazing Friday! Happy Weekend, all!!
