Back in early November, M.I.A. announced the title of her forthcoming album, which is out due out next year. The title Matangi was inspired by her given name (Mathangi, the Hindu goddess of wisdom ), and… a green parrot she found online, lol. Hey, it’s M.I.A. What are you gonna do? The artist just covered the French fashion magazine Jalouse, and I love, love, love this photoshoot! Romain Gavras (who teamed up with M.I.A. on the Bad Girls video) handled this one, and M.I.A. looks absolutely regal. Peep the gallery for more!
