Back in November, Trent mentioned in Les News that Charlie Sheen had given Lindsay Lohan $100,000 to help out with some of her back taxes. It’s always nice when people give you money, lol. But some might say that– given the LiLo method of taking little to no responsibility for anything– a handout was the last thing she needed. Still, the deed was done and I thought it was one of those nice, random acts of kindness that we wouldn’t hear anymore about. However, even with that 100K on her side, Lindsay‘s tax drama seems to be escalating.Between this and her four separate bi-coastal charges, things are really piling up for the young actress. TMZ has the story:
As if she weren’t royally screwed enough … Lindsay Lohan‘s tax problems have become so extreme … the IRS has seized ALL of her bank accounts in order to repay her massive outstanding debt.
As we reported, Uncle Sam has filed tax liens against Lindsay for the years 2009 and 2010 — claiming she owes $233,904 in unpaid federal taxes.
Charlie Sheen generously paid Lindsay $100,000 to help alleviate Lindsay’s 2009 tax problem — but we’re told Charlie’s check barely scratched the surface … because Lindsay also owes money for 2011.
The IRS has given Lindsay ample time to pay up — but the Man’s tired of waiting … so we’re told the IRS has seized ALL her bank accounts in order to settle her debt.
Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ, she’s in full-on panic mode about her financial situation, and is desperately trying to make some cash to get out of the red.
This is actually one of the least surprising stories to end up in the Lindsay Lohan files. Not a lot of celebrities get into fights with psychics in nightclubs, but those taxes are a doozy. And for a while it seemed that Lindsay was actually trying to at least get her finances in order– remember when she somehow handled her outrageous $46K hotel bill, and later on settled with the limo company that sued her for $90K? Looks like this tax issue is another setback, but maybe the IRS stepping in and taking control is actually a good thing for Lindsay. Except for the part where she’ll now be ‘desperately trying to make some cash,’ lol. I don’t even know what that means but it doesn’t so good for Lilo, for us, or for the entertainment industry.
