Guess Releases Dannielynn Hope’s First Modeling Photos

Anna Nicole Smith's Daughter is Officially a Guess Girl

Last week we learned that 6 year old Dannielynn Hope Marshall Smith Stern Birkhead, the only daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith, has decided (with guidance from her father Larry Birkhead) to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a model for Guess. Today we get our first look at Dannilynn‘s first official modeling photos. As you can see below, we got a preview of these photos last week but today we get to see the final product. Check ‘em out.

Dannielynn Birkhead is ready for her closeup. Two decades after her mother became a world-famous model for GUESS — and five years after her untimely death — the six-year-old daughter of Anna Nicole Smith makes her modeling debut for GUESS kids. In the ad, the pretty little girl strikes a pose on the beach as she wears a denim mini-skirt, white-denim vest, graphic t-shirt and a fedora. “Dannielynn has the same playful spirit that her mother had on a set,” said Paul Marciano, Creative Director for GUESS?, Inc. in a press release. (The ads for the Spring 2013 campaign will appear on buses, billboards and more beginning in mid-January 2013.) Adds Marciano: “She is a second-generation GUESS girl, which makes this campaign a first for us.”

Without question, Dannilynn is a very cute little girl … and she looks really adorable in her Guess outfits. While I personally still have concerns about Dannilynn following too closely in her mother’s footsteps, I really want to believe that things will work out well for the little girl. I just hope that her father is able to guide her in a way that no one was able to guide Anna Nicole. Let’s just keep a good thought for Dannilynn Hope. Her life is just beginning, I sincerely hope she has a very long and very happy one.

    Reeks of exploitation…

  2. Lauren xx

I don’t really see this as exploitation. If Larry Birkhead were exploiting her, we’d see little Dannielynn far more in the press. I read a fair amount of blogs, and I can’t recall seeing a photo of her since she was a baby.

She looks beautiful and age appropriate, and the tie in with Anna that we saw on the earlier post is tasteful. Definitely something Dannielynn will be proud of when she is older. I think Guess did a really great job with this tribute.

  3. This ad is age appropriate for her and is really cute. If it’s something she wants to do, it shouldn’t matter who her mom was. If it makes her happy and she is given the opportunity, good for her.

  4. History repeats.
Another screwed up, messed up Hollywood celebrity disaster in the making. She’s on her way to disaster with Paris Jackson and all the other celebrity experiments aka ‘children’.
Gee I wish these kids could be given a stable, normal childhood with a normal home environment. I really wish child protection services could have a say in the decisions the screwed up parents and sychophantic managers and relatives make.
And for the record, sorry, but Larry is just Creepy with a capital C.
