First Look: Aubrey Plaza, Charlie Sheen, And Bill Murray Star In Roman Coppola’s New Movie

Aubrey Plaza (from NBC’s Parks And Recreation) is really looking to get all up on the big screen. Recently we’ve seen trailers for two new movies she’ll be in– The To Do List (which looks hilarious) and Someday This Pain Will Be USeful To You. I’m one of a few people who hasn’t seen every episode of Parks And Rec but I’ve caught a few and Aubrey is pretty awesome. I first fell in like with her when she was in Funny People with Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler, so I have high hopes for her film career. Click inside to see new pics of a new movie she’s in (titled A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III) with Charlie Sheen, Bill Murray, and– another fave of mine– Jason Schwartzman! Oh– and duh– the Moonrise Kingdom writer (Roman Coppola) is directing soooo, yeah. I’m pumped!

Indiewire has the story:

Roman Coppola’s  “A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III,” his long-awaited sophomore directorial effort (arriving more than a decade after “CQ”), finally premiered this month at the Rome Film Festival. And luckily, you won’t have to wait too long to see it yourself.

Newbie distributors A24 snapped up the film and are prepping it for a February relase, and now we have our first look at two of the supporting players in the film: Bill Murray and Aubrey Plaza. The the film is led by Charlie Sheen, who plays a successful graphic designer whose fame, money and charm have made him irresistible to women, but his life soon downward spirals into doubt, confusion and reflection when his girlfriend breaks up with him, leading Charlie on the road to self-evaluation. Murray plays his Business Manager, with Plaza in a small role as colleague of Charlie’s who works at the same company. And finally, here’s Jason Schwartzman as his best friend Kirby Star.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Patricia Arquette, Katheryn Winnick and more round out the cast. You can read our review of the film right here and hopefully a trailer will be on its way soon.

And here are the pics:

Ummmm, if that last one doesn’t get you excited for this film, then I cannot help you. LMAO! Look at Jason! Man, that Bored To Death movie really needs to happen. Oh, and if the director’s last name sounds familiar it’s because his sister is famed director Sofia Coppola (The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette). And– FUN FACT– I was just on his Wiki page and he’s also related to Jason Schwartzman, which is hilarious. They’re cousins… so there’s that to be excited about, lol.

Sooo many good names attached to this project! And then there’s Charlie in the lead. Which is also kinda hilarious. Anybody else into A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III?

I, like you, am pretty fond of Aubrey Plaza. I’m hoping that this is just the start of a great film career for her. Have you seen her in the film ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’? I watched it a few weeks ago and LOVED her in it. You have haven’t seen it yet, I really recommend it. Such a sweet, lovely and quirky film.
