Supermodel Joan Smalls Covers ‘Vogue’ Japan’s January Issue

#TeamJoanCanDoNoWrong

As y’all know, I’m a huge fan of supermodel Joan Smalls, who was recently named the number one model in the fashion industry. We last saw her sharing that awesome Adam & Eve-inspired cover of Dazed and Confused with actor Sam Riley, and now she’s rocking the cover of Vogue Japan, for their first 2013 issue. We’re still waiting for the top model to land her American Vogue cover, but this will do just fine for now. Click inside for a better look!

Sooo, I like it. But I don’t love it. Joan looks amazing, of course but the dress isn’t doing a whole lot for me and the whole thing is kinda meh. However, I have high hopes for the full spread, which we’ll hopefully get a peak at soon. What do you guys think of the cover?

Joan for American Vogue!!! Anna, make it happen. I don’t get how someone like Rihana gets the cover but not Joan. Rihana is not even close to be considered an inspirational figure anymore. Talented? Yes. But totally overexposed in the media for the wrong reasons.
