Just Another Thursday

The TV Guide

Thanksgiving is over and Black Friday is here … which means it will be New Year’s Day in no time. Damn. Where has the year gone? I sincerely hope all y’all had yourselves a fun and bountiful Thanksgiving day yesterday (here in the US) and/or an unusually exceptional Thursday (those of you outside the US). I decided to skip Thanksgiving this year. While I have so many wonderful people and reasons to be thankful, I just could not bring myself to really celebrate any of it yesterday. I woke up, ran the 30th annual Turkey Trot with Sarah and Agnes and then spent the rest of the day in bed in front of the TV veging out. That is how I spent my Thursday.

Blah. Believe me, I’m not looking for sympathy, I’m merely sharing the truth with all y’all. I was invited to spend Thanksgiving with Sarah’s family and, of course, I could’ve spent it with my parents but I just … couldn’t. I holed myself up in Sarah’s Den of Slack (her comfy bedroom) and just watched TV until I passed out last night. I loved watching Britney Spears on The X Factor last night (despite the fact that the show isn’t very good at all … mainly because Khloe Whatshername is an absolutely HORRID host). I watched other stuff but, really, it’s not important. If it’s all the same to you, I’d rather look at yesterday as just another Thursday and move on.

I’m not sure what the plan is for today. It’s my last full day in Detroit before I fly back to LA tomorrow so I’m sure we’ll do something fun. Or not. We’ll see. I’m so sorry to be such a downer so I’m going to just wrap this post up now. Happy Friday!

My Thursday was pretty much the same as yours, if you substitute coughing for running the Turkey Trot. Was forced to watch the X Factor for the first time since there was nothing else on…ugh. I’m all for moving on from that. Britney did look nice though.

Later I remembered that I had recently recorded the show where Ellen received the Mark Twain prize for humor. There were some really funny parts, so that was good.

    Trent,

It gets easier every day! Just remember, everything happens for a reason and u have so many people rooting for you!

I’ve enjoyed your blog for quite sometime and I can’t wait for you to turn that frown upside down :-)

  4. @ Ditcher – I agree. Her comments are all the same “i wasnt sure about you last night but you changed my mind / im proud of you / you were amazing” – so not worth the $15 million – but while I LOVE Britney, i knew she wouldnt be worth the salary. Most of the time her hair is down and I do believe she has an earpiece with someone feeding her her comments more often than not. It’s sad to watch past interviews where she was so coherent and full of personality (like MTV Diary) and then watch her now. She’s a completely different person.
