Will Ferrell, Alison Brie, And Liam Neeson Lend Their Voices To The ‘LEGO’ Animated Movie

Apparently a Lego movie has been in the works for some time now and a slew of our favorite actors are joining in. But first, can we just take a moment to visualize in our minds the Lego animated movie? ((moment)) Okay. That was weird. Moving on, lol! Will Ferrell and Liam Neeson are just now joining the cast of the movie (along with Morgan Freeman, Alison Brie and a host of others), which is titled Lego: The Piece of Resistance. Okay wait, no. I love that title. And now I’m totally into it! Click inside for more deets!

Indiewire has the report:

Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie are all joining “Lego: The Piece of Resistance.” Set to be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (“21 Jump Street“) and Chris McKay (“Robot Chicken“), the animated movie centers on Emmett (Chris Pratt), a regular everyday little Lego figure who is mistaken as a MasterBuilder and suddenly becomes part of a group on a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing everything together. So who is who in this thing?

Let’s run it down: Will Arnett is Batman (awesome), Morgan Freeman is Vitruvius, Ferrell is President Business (lol) and Emmett’s antagonist, Neeson is his obviously named henchman Bad Cop, Offerman is a pirate (sweet) bent on revenge against President Business, while Brie works with Emmett and has a “powerful secret.” Oh yeah, Elizabeth Banks is in this too, but her role is under wraps.

LMAO. This is either gonna be really really good… or really reeeealllly bad, right? Honestly, with all these critically-acclaimed actors and directors, I can’t help but get excited. I mean, c’mon; Liam Neeson as a Lego? Morgan Freeman as a Lego?! That’s amazing. What do you guys think about this movie?

Lego: The Piece of Resistance hits theatres February 2014.
