Sigh. Ever since we saw the trailer for that new Chris Messina movie, I’ve been in an indie rom-com mood. Totally fell asleep to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night. It was glorious. Anyhoo, I’ve been hearing some buzz about this new Lizzy Caplan flick, Save The Date, and I finally watched the trailer today. It looks very promising– slightly reminiscent of Rachel Getting Married, but also has that young, very musical, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist feel to it as well. It looks super sweet, and then super sad, and then bittersweet… but mainly awesome. Peep the trailer for more! I haven’t seen a lot of Lizzy Caplan’s work but she’s been on New Girl and also had a role in Bachelorette, aaand as PITNBR Tatum aptly pointed out– she was Janis Ian in Mean Girls! I’m sure a lot of you will recognize Alison Brie from Community, so there’s that to look forward to. Anybody else loving the trailer?
Save the Date hits VOD November 8 and theaters December 14.
