Bobby Brown Arrested For DUI For Second Time This Year

Remember back in March of this year when we learned that Bobby Brown was arrested for drunk driving? Yeah, well, he’s done it again … TMZ is reporting that Brown was pulled over police due to erratic driving. It is being reported that the stench of alcohol was so great that Brown was subjected to a field sobriety test, which he failed … resulting in his subsequent arrest. You may also recall that back in August, Bobby checked himself into a rehab program for his alcohol addiction problems but, clearly, his rehab has not been successful. Bobby has been busted for DUI for the second time in 6 months.

Bobby Brown was just arrested for DUI … for the second time this year, TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us, Brown was pulled over around 1AM when police observed the singer driving erratically on an L.A. street. According to law enforcement sources, officers approached Brown’s vehicle and detected a strong odor of alcohol — at which point they asked Brown to get out of his car. We’re told Brown performed a field sobriety test, but didn’t do very well — so he was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He’s currently being booked. Brown was previously arrested for DUI in March and sought treatment for alcohol abuse issues over the summer. He also has a DUI conviction on his record from 1996.

Wow. Clearly, this man has a problem that he cannot control. As long as the DMV allows him to drive with a valid license, I suspect he is going to continue to drink and drive. I could go on and on again about how simple it is to have a sober person drive you home if you are too drunk to drive but that sort of thing seems lost on some people. I’m not sure if Bobby Brown has the funds to hire a driver but it seems like an investment he should look into based on the number of drunk driving arrests he’s got under his belt. If he was arrested twice for drunk driving in the last 6 months alone, I think it’s safe to assume that he managed to get away with a number of other drunk driving incidents that did not result in arrest. I understand Bobby has already bailed himself out of jail. I wonder if this most recent arrest was enough to sober him up to the reality that his actions could have deadly consequences.
