Congratulations are in order for newlyweds Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake NOT because they got marred in Italy last weekend but because they managed to seal a deal worth $300,000. for the rights to publish their wedding photos. According to a new report out today, People magazine supposedly coughed up $300k for the exclusive right to publish Justica‘s wedding photos in an upcoming issue of their magazine. Dang. Click below to read the reported deets of this lucrative deal.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have sold their wedding pictures to People for an estimated $300,000. The usually publicity-shy couple have also struck a deal with OK! to sell the pictures of their nuptials in Europe. The pair wed in front of 100 people at the gorgeous Borgo Egnazia resort in Southern Italy on Friday. Reports said they flew out close family and friends, including Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg and Beverley Mitchell. The entire complex was filled with white blooms for the ceremony, and the reception was held in marquee tents in the grounds of the hotel. The Roots’ drummer, Questlove, served as DJ, and Timberlake even performed one song, dedicated to Jessica, who wore a dress designed by Giambattista Valli. But missing from the guest list were his former *NSYNC bandmates Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone. A source told us, “The band were not invited and are pretty upset about it. But the wedding guests were mainly close family and friends.” Reps for Timberlake and Biel didn’t get back to us.
Erm, so … if I’m reading this correctly … Justica get $300k from People magazine AND they prolly get roughly the same amount of money from OK! magazine as well? It’s amazing how the rich get richer, ain’t it? I can’t say that I’m at all surprised that the couple managed to score such a huge pay day for their wedding photos but from what I’m hearing from folks, there really isn’t all that much rabid interest in this wedding. From my perspective, the whole thing kinda came and went without much serious interest from folks. Here’s hoping that People and OK! magazines managed to recoup the money they’ve shelled out for these photos. Are YOU looking forward to the release of the pics?
