A few months ago we heard the amazing, exciting news that singer Adele was pregnant with her first child when the mom-to-be personally shared a message on her official website describing herself as ‘over the moon’ with joy. Shortly after, we heard whisperings about Adele possibly being way more pregnant than we might have thought, as some suggested that she might even be due in September. Well, the rumors were only a month off because on Friday, October 19, Adele reportedly gave birth to her first child, a son with presumed fiancé Simon Konecki. One of the shortest bump watches eh-ver is o-vah and I’m kind of excited! Adele’s a mommy! Ahhhh!!! Click inside for deets!
People has the story:
Adele is officially rolling in the diapers!
The British singing sensation, 24, is now Mum to a baby boy, a family source confirms to PEOPLE.
“We are all over the moon,” the source says.
“Obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time,” she wrote.
Even as the Grammy winner thrilled fans with the recentrelease of new material, the James Bond theme song “Skyfall,” Adele was “totally laying low and nesting,” a source recently told PEOPLE. “She is just thrilled [about becoming a mom].”
Now it should be noted that Adele’s publicist has not officially confirmed the news, but I think it’s safe for everyone to celebrate.
I don’t know about y’all but I am craaaaZZZyyy jealous of that baby right now. When I want to hear the voice of a god rocking me to sleep, I have to go to Youtube. Anyway, aside from being privy to the most amazing-sounding lullabies in the world, I think baby boy has a good, loving mom to be excited about, and that’s the most important thing.
Even though this was a barely-there bump watch I have to say, I really can appreciate when celebrity parents take this time to create a semi-private space for themselves and their families. Recently we learned that Megan Fox gave birth weeks before the story actually came out and I bet those were the quietest (well, sort of) three weeks of her celebrity life. There’s nothing more exciting, exhausting, and mind-blowing, than bringing a whole other human being into this world and it’s so good to have a bit of space during that time, if it’s possible.
So, welcome to the world baby boy Konecki! And as for Adele and Simon– as with all new parents– I wish you the maximum amount of sleep possible every night (about 3-4 hours), with as many naps throughout the day as their baby will allow :)
Let’s send tons of love and good wishes to the growing family!0
