We’ve been hearing some not-so-awesome news about the legacy of Michael Jackson over the last few months, and a lot of it has to do with what we might call the mishandling of his young children. But now we’ve got some positive news about the pop star, whose memory lives on in many forms. Legendary director Spike Lee has been hard at work on his latest film, Michael Jackson BAD 25, a documentary about the making of Jackson‘s 1987 album Bad. The television documentary will feature tons of found footage, including some material that Michael Jackson shot himself, as well as interviews with those who worked closely with him on the iconic album. Artists like Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crowe, and Kanye West will also appear in the film. I didn’t grow up on Michael Jackson, nor would I call myself a die-hard fan, but I live on planet earth so yeah. Michael Jackson changed my life, lol. I’m really excited to see what Spike Lee was able to uncover, and how he pulled the documentary together. Check out the trailer above! Are you ready to re-experience Bad?
Michael Jackson BAD 25 airs on ABC, Thursday, November 22 at 9:30 pm.
