The last time we heard Kate Gosselin news, she was stirring up controversy with a twit pic of her daughter’s legs and we were all wondering if it was totally cute or totally inappropriate. Now we have some bummer news for all of you who’ve been reading her blog at CouponCabin– Kate’s been fired from the website and her blog will be discontinued. Although, judging from the comments I read on her recent posts, not a lot of people will be disappointed! Click inside to learn more.
Okay, here’s the letter from the CouponCabin CEO Scott Kluth:
To all our Kate blog readers:
Some nine-plus years ago, I started CouponCabin with the thought of creating a single website that had all the best coupons… no gimmicks, no fluff, just a site that was easy to use and that had great deals. Along the way, we’ve helped our users collectively save hundreds of millions of dollars.
A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago, and that Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin.
It’s with this that I am writing to inform you of our decision to discontinue Ms. Gosselin’s feature blog on CouponCabin.com. Ms. Gosselin’s contributions garnered both positive attention and criticism, but as always, I respect and appreciate your candid opinions, which often encourage us not to lose sight of our mission — to help YOU save money.
We wish Kate, her family and her support staff all the best.
Founder and CEO of CouponCabin.com
Daaaamn, that’s awkward. But not as awkward as the 200+ comments on that one post, 99% of which basically say, ‘Thank you for firing her; I think I’ll come back to using the site now.’ LMAO. Ouch! But she also got some real criticism as some readers complained that she made it clear that she did not care about the readers and had that sort of holier-than-thou-super-mommy thing going on. And we all know that nobody likes a holier-than-thou-super-mommy, lol.
But something tells me Kate will bounce right on back, and I’m sure her blogging gig wasn’t her only source of income. What do you guys think of the news? Was anybody reading her blog?
