Fashionista Victoria Beckham is featured on the cover and the pages of the upcoming new issue of Elle France magazine. Altho the mag isn’t out yet, she is proudly showing off some of the photos she posed for that were shot by photographer/designer Karl Lagerfeld. As you can see below, Vicki B‘s photoshoot took place inside the famed French apartment home of Coco Chanel … which is quite apropos, if you think about it. Click below to get your first look at these photos shot for Elle France magazine and read some deets about the fashion spread.
Back in July Karl Lagerfeld went behind the lens to shoot Victoria Beckham for an Elle France cover in the home of none other than the late Coco Chanel. The Spice-Girl-turned-designer gave us a peek at the backstage antics during the shoot when she shared the first photos of their efforts from inside 31 Rue Cambon this morning. “First pictures from my @ElleFrance cover shoot with Karl Lagerfeld, a dream come true!” she tweeted along with a picture of the pair standing on Chanel’s famous staircase with Beckham dressed in a black Lanvin sweater, Eres underwear, Giuseppe Zanotti Design boots, and Chanel jewels. According to the Daily Telegraph, there is another snapshot of leggy lady in another pair of Eres undies, Fendi shirt, Sergio Rossi heels, and a pair of frames from her own optical collection. We’re keeping our eyes peeled so we can snag a copy of the cover for ourselves!
Here are the photos that were shared by VB:
The Elle France cover above was also released by way of Vicki B‘s Twitter, likely with Elle‘s consent (even tho they have no mention yet of VB‘s appearance in the mag anywhere on their website). Back in July, VB shared the following photo that was taken on the set of the shoot:
Iconic staircase!! fun in Paris!!!!! X vb
And now we know that she was posing for a photospread, not squatting in Chanel‘s old apartment. I’m not a big Karl Lagerfeld fan, for a host of reasons (most recently his shameful commentary on Adele‘s weight) but I am intrigued by this spread. I’m looking forward to see the rest of the photos … particularly the ones that do NOT feature Lagerfeld anywhere in the photos.
