First Look: Justin Bieber Teams Up With Nicki Minaj For His ‘Beauty And A Beat’ Music Video

This week a story started going around that Justin Bieber’s laptop computer and camera were stolen from his hotel room. Immediately, people started to wonder if any embarrassing or incriminating footage would be leaked to the Internets (yesterday we heard he was being “blackmailed” by the person who “stole” his computer). It turns out that the story, started by Bieber’s people, was a “viral ruse” in order to generate hype for the release of his new music video Beauty and a Beat (which features rapper Nicki Minaj). The video, which you can watch in full above, is supposedly made up of the “stolen footage” that was found on Bieber’s computer … which we now know is bullshizz. Check out the video and see what you think. Are you impressed/annoyed with the idea of Bieber’s people telling lies to promote the release of his music video?

I was annoyed. Especially since I almost wrote a post about how his laptop was stolen, lmao! And just as I’d about finished it, this dropped. So yeah. Annoying.

  • Megan

I’ll give it to him this time…it was a clever way to use Twitter and the media to generate some buzz.

I thought it was weird that the person who stole the footage was willingly making a huge display over Twitter, but I just thought we just were dealing with an incredibly stupid thief. lol

  • smASH

With the way people invade the personal space of celebrities I guess I don’t mind that he would use it to his advantage for promoting a video.

  • ClaireMichelle

Pretty freaking clever. I actually really like this whole thing.

Thumbs up, Biebs. I’m diggin’ the song & the vid

  • Megan

Yea, I actually think it was pretty clever. The video looked like a lot of fun to film!

The idea was cool. The video not so much.
