Bobbi Kristina Confirms Her Engagement To Nick Gordon In A Clip From Her Reality Show

The Houstons Are Coming To 'Lifetime'

The Lifetime channel is gearing up for the premiere of their new reality show The Houstons On Our Own, and the show will follow members of Whitney Houston‘s family as they grieve, cope, and live their lives following the death of the singer and mother. In a new trailer, exclusively released to E! Bobbi Kristina is the central focus and she announces her engagement to Nick Gordon. The last time we heard from Bobbi and Nick they were professing their lurve on Twitter, and now it seems the two are headed for the altar. Maybe. Click inside to learn more.

Okay, if you want to watch the new trailer where Bobbi announces her engagement go here. In this clip you get a look at the show, but that announcement is not shown:

And here’s the report from E!:

We have a special sneak peek promo of A&E Network’s latest reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own, which shows how Whitney’s loved ones have tried to move on since her passing.

And for Bobbi Kristina Brown, that means getting engaged.

Rumors of the 19-year-old’s engagement to boyfriend and adopted brother Nick Gordon have been swirling around the Internet for quite some time now, but Bobbi kept denying the claims.

In the clip, you’ll see the drama revolving around Bobbi Kristina and Nick’s love affair (apparently, not everyone approves) and through what sounded like a nervous giggle, Bobbi announces, “We’re engaged!”

Watch to see how they took the news and catch the premiere of The Houstons: On Our Own on Wednesday, Oct. 24.

The clip is kinda awkward to watch, especially as family members make it totally clear how they feel about the relationship. One relative says to Nick (in a very accusatory tone) ‘No one knew that from a godson you were gonna turn into a boyfriend– no one knew that.’

But it’s also awkward because it’s always strange to see these kind of promotional things going on in the wake of someone’s death. I actually had to change the channel when this came on TV the other day; I just wasn’t ready, lol.

What do y’all think of this upcoming reality show? And Bobbi Kristina‘s engagement announcement? In the clip I posted above you get the idea that Nick and Bobbi are already having trust/fidelity issues. Not sure that’s the best way to start an engagement. Plus I imagine that she’s still going through the grieving process and it seems like the engagement (along with the show) is a lot to take on. But regardless of how I feel, it would appear that congratulations are in order!

  1. I’m glad you brought up the point of doing this so close to (or to capitalize on?) someone’s death. It’s just…a bit disturbing. And certainly can’t be healthy for Bobbi Kris.

I just think it sets a bad precedent, celebs letting everyone into their lives during such a private time. I mean, after this, BK can never ask for privacy during anything in her life. Like, when a famous couple breaks up and asks the press to respect their privacy? Never gonna happen now. Once you let video cameras in after your mother dies (and the pitch in the promo talks all about it!) you just can’t go back from that. Ever.

    • Erica Croce, I think you’re right. And I think they know that they’re all going to lose whatever privacy they have know… but they don’t know how much that loss will eventually effect them. It’s gonna be nutty but I really hope Bobbi Kristina’s family members will protect her as much as they can. Because people are gonna be all over this and any of the drama that comes as a result.

  2. This is a terrible idea. Wow.

I can’t even bring myself to watch the promos. It’s wrong on so many levels.
