PITNB Relives And Re-Lurves Some Of The Greatest Superhero Man Candy Ever

Okay y’all. It’s time to look at some hot guys who save the world AKA Superhero Man Candy. What’s the special occasion, you ask? First of all, we should never, ever need a special occasion to look at hot guys who save the world. But in this case, we are a bit inspired by the upcoming series premiere of the CW’s new show Arrow (based on the DC Comics hero Green Arrow). Arrow stars Stephen Amell and Stephen Amell plays a hot guy who saves the world/Starling City. Amell (as Oliver Queen/Arrow) is lit’rally the definition of Superhero Man Candy. But thank goodness he’s not alone; Christian Bale as The Dark Knight, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Chris Evans as Captain America are all in the Superhero Man Candy club too (yes, there’s a club). But when I think of Superheroes (and man candy), I also can’t help but think of David Boreanaz as Angel and Will Smith as the hot (and totally ripped for no reason) scientist Robert Neville in I Am Legend, so I had to include those guys as well, even if they don’t fit the exact description of superhero. They’re hot guys who’ve saved the world, and they deserve their props! Peep the gallery for more Superhero Man Candy than you will ever be able to handle in one sitting! Arrow, Series Premiere Trailer

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

The series stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Colin Donnell as Tommy, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, with Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance.

Although my TV schedule is kinda full right now, this description sounds pretty exciting and, well, then there’s the man candy factor. It’s hard to say ‘no’ to a face/body like Amell’s!

Catch the series premiere of Arrow on the CW this Wednesday, October 10 at 8 pm EST.
