A few days ago we got to see Sarah Jessica Parker looking all types of amazing on the cover of Elle Magazine’s Women In Hollywood issue. As Trent explained, SJP shares the cover with a few other Hollywood heavy hitters including Elle Fanning, Emma Watson, and Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer. Today we get to check out Octavia‘s cover, and I am so, so loving it! Click inside to see a few more pics of the amazingness that is Octavia.
YEEESSS! These pictures are so winning for me, lol! I think they captured Octavia brilliantly. But here’s my favorite part of the spread. Elle shared an excerpt from her interview, and it’s pretty awesome:
Early on I had to stand up to a producer – I won’t say who, but he is famous, famous. He dressed me down in a crowded office. I told him right there in front of a hundred people, ‘You don’t know me well enough to use that tone’…And then I ran to the bathroom and cried like a baby. But he never addressed me that way again. And he is known as a yeller.
OMG. I love this woman. I saw her doing an interview with Oprah last year around Oscar season and she was with her co-star from The Help, Viola Davis. Octavia was so adamant about her love of acting and her right to play any role she wanted to play; she was just the best. I sooo want to know more about this story (with the douchebag producer) but we’ll have to wait and see what else is revealed in the article.
Any other Octavia Spencer fans out there? I’m really excited to watch her blow up the biz, and rack up some more Oscars. She rules!
Absolutely adore her. She is very beautiful and she is an extremely talented actress. The Help is definitely one of my favorite movies and who could ever forget the line “eat my s**t” LOL my boyfriend and I DIED in the theater when she said that!
Brent, I wasn’t prepared to love The Help as much as I did. She was brilliant and SO ridiculously funny. Can’t wait to see more of her!
OMG…I love everything about her. I know this sounds SO stupid, but i LOOOVED her on Wizards of Waverly Place. She’s so convincing in her roles, and watching her in The Help…OMG. she’s the reason I bought the dvd…she’s the reason I loved the movie so much. I may even go out and pick up this issue of Elle, last time I bought Elle magazine…Hilary Duff was on the cover. lol.
miguel, LOL! I have to find those Wizards… episodes. I can only imagine how awesome she must have been!
Does it bother anyone else that all the pics are cropped and don’t show her gorgeous body? I seem to remember mags getting flack for this in the past … thin actresses get the full body cover and heavier actresses get cropped shots. maybe I’m wrong but I feel like we’ve seen this happen before? I just read the brills Christina Hendricks post so maybe “full figure” is all up in my brain … am I wrong?
