Here Are Some Celebrities Who Were Not Involved In Any Of The Fights At Last Night’s BET Hip-Hop Awards

And Some Who Were...

This is awkward. I love Rap. I love rappers. And yet. When those two things are celebrated in one space, at one time… ish may or may not go down. Now the truth is, we’ve had plenty of BET Award shows that didn’t involve violence, but last night’s taping of the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards absolutely did. Young Jeezy (who I adore) apparently got into it backstage with Rick Ross; but when they decided to take it outside, someone from Ricky‘s camp allegedly started shooting (although some reports say no shots were fired). Anyway, some time later (after they went back to taping) Gunplay, another member of Rick Ross‘s Maybach Music Group, got jumped (allegedly) by a whole 50 Cent G-Unit crew. But then I heard 50 Cent and Diddy got into a beef backstage… and blah blah blah. The drama just went on and, since nobody actually got hurt, it’s honestly just embarrassing, lol. You can read more about the ridiculousness here. Peep the gallery to check out some of the celebs (violent and non-violent) who were in attendance. At least 2Chainz and his daughter (who is crazy cute) were okay.

  1. Shivers

When did Diggy Simmons grow up? I feel old.

  2. JCZ

It’s sad to think that the average maturity level in that arena would’ve been far less than at the Teen Choice Awards.

    • JCZ, thanks for commenting. I think this is pretty much THE Hip Hop version of maturity. It involves being willing to fight for respect, for whatever. It’s sad and I don’t full understand it but the atmosphere, I think, is completely different from the Teen Choice Awards atmosphere, lol. It’s not so footloose and fancy free when so many people feel like they have something to prove. It sucks.
