Honestly? Can Django Unchained just come out already? This is not one of those movies where the slow build-up is making me more excited; I just want to see it now! But it’s my job to bring y’all the good (and sometimes bad) news o’ the day and today I’m happy to report that director Quentin Tarantino (who’s known for making the occasional cameo in his movies) will be making an appearance in Django Unchained, his upcoming slave narrative-esque revenge film. In an interview with Look at OKC, actor Rex Linn revealed that Quentin Tarantino will have a short cameo role in his upcoming movie, Django Unchained. This shouldn’t be completely unexpected for fans of the auteur as Tarantino often appears briefly in most of the movies he directs.
Linn, who plays Tennessee Harry in the film, said, “Quentin told me that he liked the scene so much he wanted to be in it, too, and that he would also be taking some of my lines.” He continued, “So, you’ll know the scenes when you see them. We’ll be on the screen with Don Johnson and Jonah Hill. The scenes may not be long, but you will remember them.”
Personally, I think it is sooo funny when directors pop up in their movies. How hilarious was it watching Quentin waxing poetic about Madonna‘s Like A Virgin in Reservoir Dogs, or seeing him play the douchiest of douchebags (Jimmy) in Pulp Fiction? Ahhh, good times, good times. Obviously, I can’t wait to see this movie and now I’m itching to know more about this scene and Quentin‘s character! Jamie Foxx plays the former slave/bounty hunter so I’m wondering if Quentin is one of the good guys (which I kind of doubt, lol) or one of the bad guys. Either way, Quentin on screen with Jonah Hill can only bring good things, right?
Sidenote… I’m also reading rumors about an upcoming Tarantino flick set in Australia, which sounds kind of awesome!

This movie has just somehow became even greater! I love, love, love this news. It’s really not that long to go Shannon – it felt like last week when it was announced and just yesterday when we found out the cast.
But if it’s a scene to remember, then if he is a bad guy, it must be one hell of a death scene.
And AUSTRALIA! For reals?! I’ll be getting my stalk on if that is true… until he casts me in his movie, hah! I couldn’t think of anything better than QT setting a film in Aus and hopefully filming it too… We have appealing tax incentives Mr. Tarantino!
JCZ, lol! I’m now hoping for your sake that the rumor is true. And I could imagine him making a pretty bad ass picture out there. Here’s hoping you make the casting call!
