Kristen Stewart And Salma Hayek Attend The Balenciaga Fashion Show In Paris

A little while back we got to see Kristen Stewart’s new Balenciaga ad, as the actress officially became the face of Balenciaga’s perfume Florabotanica earlier this year. The fashion house, founded by Basque designer Cristóbal Balenciaga, just had its Spring/Summer 2013 ready-to-wear showing at Paris Fashion Week and Kristen Stewart was in the building. The actress (who may or may not be back with Robert Pattinson) was all smiles (with the occasional grimace, lol), rocking a yellow Balenciaga leather jacket, some funky leather ankle boots and floral jeans. Between her look and that insane Karlie Kloss photo shoot, I’m thinking leather is officially in. Photogs also caught the eternally gorgeous Salma Hayek and her husband, French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault heading into the event. Pinault is CEO of PPR, a major fashion company which owns Balenciaga (they also own or part-own Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Boucheron, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Bottega Veneta, and others… in case you were curious about how one becomes a French billionaire). Kristen is my favorite, thanks for posting her pics :) I knew the show was middle of the night our time, and was SO HAPPY to wake up to all the news!

So lately, I’ve noticed that the pics of Kristen are no longer awkward and uncomfortable to look at. I wonder why that is. Is it because the last installment of Twilight is coming up, and this is supposed to correspond with how that character has grown and changed?

I mean, it seems like we start to see totally different pictures depending on what the media wants us to think or feel. Amy Winehouse is a really sad example. I remember when she was alive and it seems like the pictures everywhere were of her looking hungover. After she died, suddenly there were all these pictures of her looking just like a sweet and regular girl.
