Rihanna Releases The Artwork For Her New Single ‘Diamonds’

The Song Will Debut on Wednesday

Last week we learned from Rihanna herself that she will be releasing new music this week. Today we get our first look at the artwork for Ri Ri‘s new single Diamonds which will debut worldwide this Wednesday morning. Diamonds will be the first single from Rihanna‘s forthcoming 7th album and, as I understand it, the track is a very upbeat song. As you can see from the single art below, Rihanna appears to be very addicted to diamonds … and she seems to be telling us that we may become addicted to her new song Diamonds. Fresh off her buzzworthy headlining performance at Friday’s massive iHeartRadio Festival, and her spectacular opening performance at the 2012 MTV VMA’s – where she won the night’s biggest award, Video Of The Year for “We Found Love,” – worldwide superstar Rihanna opens the next chapter of her reign as this century’s Queen of the Billboard Hot 100 with her new single “Diamonds.” “Diamonds” will make its global premiere on Wednesday, September 26th with an 8:00am launch at radio stations worldwide. An hour later, at 9:00am EST, “Diamonds” will go up for sale at iTunes Music Stores worldwide. Just weeks ago, Live Nation announced the Rihanna Diamonds World Tour 2013. “Diamonds” is the first single from Rihanna’s upcoming seventh studio album on Island Def Jam, details to be announced in the weeks and months ahead. “Diamonds” was produced by Norwegian hitmakers Stargate, whose track record of worldwide Top 10 hits with Rihanna stretches back to 2006’s “Unfaithful,” and includes “Don’t Stop the Music,” “Take A Bow,” “Rude Boy,” “Only Girl (In the World),” and “What’s My Name” (featuring Drake), and “Talk That Talk.” Live Nation’s Rihanna Diamonds World Tour 2013 is slated to open at the Niagara Center in Buffalo on March 8, 2013, with North American dates scheduled through May 4th at the new Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. (Please see tour dates below.) Tickets for most venues go on sale Friday, September 14th through September 21st (check local venue).

Despite what was previously reported, we do not yet know the title of Rihanna‘s new album … but at the very least, Diamonds should give us a pretty good feel for the sound of her new disc. It honestly feels like Rihanna releases new music almost every other day. For some people, that is a good thing … for others, notsomuch. I’m always up for hearing new songs and if they are great songs, I don’t care how frequently they get released. I think Rihanna has been over-saturating the market a bit much in the past few years and it looks like she has no plans to slow down. That being said, I’m interested in hearing Diamonds when it debuts this week, are you? And as for the single art, what do you think? Is it clever … or …?

  1. Rhianna needs to SIT DOWN! She is everywhere all the time. I’m even getting tired about hearing about her….
(that being said… i’ll probably buy the album.. lol)

  2. Jake Kelly

Hmm. I didn’t like “Talk That Talk” all that much. Hopefully, this one will be better.
Also, I think the artwork is clever. :)

  3. Diamonds and rolling papers? Okay. Badgalriri is here to stay, lol!

  4. Lisbeth Slander

I am so sick of her. This is coming from someone who bought her first four albums. She needs to take a break and disappear.

  5. Lulu

Agreed.. so very tired of hearing about her all the darn time.

  6. I’m sure some of the songs will be good, but TTT was a HUGE dissapointment for me. I only liked about 4 songs on it. On Loud I liked almost every one of them, same with GGGB. I pretty much agree with everyone else, she needs to take a break and focus more on quality than quantity. Someone said it best on a site I read (it may have been on here) it’s almost as if she’s afraid of not being in the spotlight all the time and that people will forget about her if she goes away for a little while. I mean, doesn’t she want some down time just to do nothing? I know I would with as much as she does. One thing is for sure tho, you hafta respect her work effort. I will not be buying this album tho (maybe lol)

  7. ethic not effort *duh* haha
