On Friday night I got to see one of my fave LA bands — Sweet and Tender Hooligans — perform a concert made up entirely of songs by The Smiths. Last night, I got to see the band perform a concert made up entirely (well, mostly) of songs by Morrissey. Yes, I’m a Hooligans fan. On both occasions, I had to haul my cookies all the way down to Long Beach, CA but I did so happily … and had a great time each night. Click below to see some photos from last night’s show.

The setlist was about 96% Morrissey solo songs but the guys couldn’t resist tossing in a few songs by The Smiths during the encore. Despite having heard Ask, This Charming Man and There Is A Light That Never Goes Out the night before, I didn’t mind hearing them live again last night. As I did on Friday night, I took full advantage of the old timey photobooth inside Alex’s Bar (the concert venue), as I’m wont to do:

I wish Long Beach wasn’t so far away from LA, I really like Alex’s Bar. If I find myself relatively close to the area again, I’d like to go back and just chill there. I love the vibe in that place.
Today, I have some housekeeping to do (blah) and then later on I’m meeting up with some peeps. It’s gonna be a lazy Sunday for me, I hope YOU have a great one!

OMG….love your look! Icamethisclose to going up there last night and if I’d had a little more time to plan, it would have been a sure thing. :)

IKR? Next time!
