Yes! I’m sooo excited to be reporting about Rihanna in a completely musical (as in drama/ex-boyfriend-free) capacity!!! The pop superstar– who’s new look I’m still loving all up and down– has officially announced her forthcoming single, titled Diamonds. Diamonds will appear on Rihanna‘s seventh studio album and will premiere next week!!! She must really be putting in that work because earlier this month she released that Cockiness single (with A$AP Rocky), which is off her last album Talk That Talk. Nuts. And I’m kind of more excited than I thought I would be, lol. Earlier today we saw pics of Rihanna at the iHeartRadio Music Festival and now we have the video of her there, announcing the new song. She describes it as ‘happy and hippie’ (or ‘hip-py’?) and she sounds quite pleased with the finished product. Also, she apparently ‘only knows how to be number one.’ Which makes sense. Checkie out!
UPDATE: There was some confusion and, since first posting this, we’ve learned that Diamonds is Rihanna‘s new single, not the new album. We still don’t know the name of the album but the cover art for the first single has been released.

this girls music is like clock work. shes right on schedule for new music. personally…and maybe its cause im not a huge fan.. but this girl needs a break. she needs a solid 6 months just to herself. live, grow, re-evaluate & evolve a bit. maybe then she’ll finally have something new to offer with her music, other then this whole – im a rich bitch gangster over the top sex gimmick.
nicole, I remember you saying this before. I bet it’s hard (like crazy hard) to step away when you’re at a certain point in your career but I love when celebs take time away to do whatever. Hopefully, she’ll take that time soon.
She’s a couple of weeks late this year but not too far off from being completely regular! Actually i was beginnig to wonder of she was going to release anything new this year. Can’t wait to hear the new song. I hope it’s as good as the other ones she’s come out with recently.
I’m going to agree with Nicole! I love her music but I think if she focused for a bit, she would have an AMAZING album like “Good Girl Gone Bad”. Her last album was okay at best as a whole…Is it me or does anybody feel “Where Have You Been” and “We Found Love” sound too similar…Yes, I know they are both Calvin Harris tracks but too much!
I agree with the above comments! I like Rihanna, but I find that just as soon as one single is released, she releases 2, 3 or 4 more right after, not to mention a new album, before I have time to process anything .. it’s like overload!
