Yesterday was a very nice but very bizzy day for me. I had a fairly early flight out of Detroit yesterday so that I could be back home here in LA in time to attend the world premiere of The X Factor at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA yesterday evening. As you can see below Britney Spears was asked to leave her handprints and autograph in cement for display in front of the theater alongside other iconic Hollywood legends like Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne and more. Oh yeah, the other X Factor judges (Simon Cowell, LA Reid and Demi Lovato) were also asked to leave their handprints in cement but really … it was all about Britney. After the ceremony, we were treated to the season 2 premiere episode of The X Factor (which airs on Fox tonight) and then a short Q&A with fans afterward. I was able to be fairly close to the action all night long so, yeah, I had a great time. Check out the photos below and see for yourselves.
Our dear Britney Spears was right in front of me all night long … and she was really interactive with the crowd. There were throngs of people there to see her and she seemed to brighten up at all the love heaped on her. The handprint ceremony was fun, I was really glad to be there to see it happen in person.
The premiere episode of The X Factor is really, really good. Granted, I’ve never watched the show before but since I’ve seen other singing competition shows, I kinda knew what to expect. The X Factor, tho, is filmed differently … it looks more cinematic. The audience will see a lot of behind the scenes footage from the auditions and TRUST ME, it’s entertaining as HELL to watch:
Britney is so great in the first ep. There’s a whole segment of her being “mean” to contestants. Honestly, she’s not really being “mean”, she’s being honest … a lot. She delivers great one-liners but it’s her facial expressions that really got people in the audience laughing. I don’t want to spoil the ep because you can watch it in full TONIGHT but … you’re gonna wanna tune in. The encounter with Britney‘s ex-duet partner Don Philip is included in the premiere ep and … OY, it’s intense. The show opens with a contestant that you MUST tune in to see. I can’t wait for people to watch the episode so we can talk about it :D
After the episode, we got to have a short Q&A with the X Factor judges:
It was short but very sweet. All in all, the whole event was really fun … I’m so glad I got to attend. Britney makes her debut as X Factor judge TONIGHT! Tune in!!!

I’ll watch the ep again but I’m also seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark in IMAX tonight so … another bizzy night for me.

I love this woman to death. Death. The epitome of a living legend and survivor. The Voice is going to be absolutely embarrassed with extending their show tonight…embarrassed. :D

Your pictures are awesome, Trent, and I cannot wait to finally see Britney/Goofney in action on The X Factor! Am loving all of the Britney promotion we’ve seen over the past few days. She’s slowly but surely getting more comfortable back in the public eye and it’s amazing to watch. Whatever the X Factor is, she has boatloads of it.

I will be tuning in tonight, fo’sure! I have never watched it before and really want to watch because of Britney. I am sure this is what Simon wanted when he signed her on. I am also excited that Khloe K may be the host. She is my fav Kardashian and I know alot of people dislike them, as I do too sometimes. I am just jealous of all their money! lol Thanks for posting the pics too. Looks like it was a lot of fun!
Oh my goodness, FLAWLESS. Britney looks amazing- best she’s looked in years!! I love these pics of her! And yeah…I don’t watch *any* of those singing competition shows but I will be tuning in tonight for darling Brit Brit.
I like Britney and will always have a soft spot for the girl but I think Simon is taking advantage of this girl. I feel like it could end up being a train wreck. I hope not though. I could completely see some singer that doesn’t get picked calling her out about her “vocal” skills. That would be a mess. =/
@Diva — A male contestant who auditions on the first ep tries to “call out” Demi Lovato for her talent and Britney is the one that shuts him down.
Thanks for responding Trent. Oh wow.. first episode lol! I’m sure he won’t be the last one. I only caught 5 mins and it was some guy in a wedding dress singing Born This Way. There were several reasons for me to change channels after that.
