Actor Ryan Gosling surfaced on the LA set of his film Gangster Squad last night to film new scenes for the delayed film. As you may know, Gangster Squad was finished and ready for release next month but after the movie theater shooting in Aurora, CO last month, the movie studio decided to delay the film’s release until next year in order to retool the film a bit in order to cut out a movie theater shooting scene in the film. Because Gangster Squad won’t be released for a few months now, there is plenty of time for Gosling and his costars to get back into character to film new scenes for the movie.
While I am bummed that we have to wait until next year to see this film, I totally understand the decision for the delay. As I’ve said many, many times in the reporting of this movie, I am not a fan of period piece films … but I am a HUGE fan of Ryan Gosling so … where he goes, I go. Honestly, I guess I don’t really mind the reshoots … at least we get to see new photos of Ryan in his slick gangster outfits for a few more days :)
