Over the course of the past 6 months, former actress and current trainwreck Amanda Bynes was involved in 1 DUI arrest (after she, allegedly, sideswiped a parked police car) and 2 hit-and-run accidents involving other drivers (one in May, one earlier this month). Today we learn that Amanda has added one more case of ALLEGED hit-and-run after she caused another driver to rear end her rental car. Funny enough, Bynes was driving a rental car because her own car is still in the body shop from her last case of ALLEGED hit-and-run. I mean, seriously, what the eff is going on with this girl?
Amanda Bynes was involved in yet another car accident Monday night … TMZ has learned. Bynes was driving in the San Fernando Valley at around 8 PM when a car rear-ended her rental. The driver of the other car claims Amanda made a reckless maneuver that triggered the collision. Cops showed up but no one was ticketed. BTW, Amanda is in a rental because her Beemer is in the body shop. In the last 6 months, Amanda has been arrested for DUI, and accused of 3 hit-and-runs. Cops also say she skipped out on them last March when they were writing her up for driving while yakking on her cell phone.
In all fairness, all of these alleged car accidents COULD be the result of mistaken identity … or perhaps an elaborate operation to smear Amanda‘s once good name … but I don’t think so. As I’ve said before, I’ve personally seen Amanda out and about around town with her entourage of lady friends (who David and I like to call the Bynettes) and it seems clear to me that the girl likes to party. That, in and of itself, isn’t a bad thing because we all like to party. But when one’s partying habits lead to incidents of alleged drunk driving the matter becomes deadly serious. Amanda, I get it … you’re young, rich and jobless … you can do whatever the Hell you want and you definitely plan on doing whatever the Hell you want. But, seriously, get one of your Bynettes to stay sober and drive you around so you can party in peace and the rest of us can be safe from your reckless behavior. If she’s not careful — like, seriously careful from here on out — she could get herself into a lot of trouble … trouble that could be harmful or deadly to other drivers on the road. I really hope she wises up … soon.
