Just a couple of days ago we got to see photos of the Spice Girls rehearsing in London for the Closing Ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic Games that will happen this Sunday night. Today we get to see a cute photo of proud hubby David Beckham and his baby girl Harper Seven watching in the wings as Mama Spice Victoria Beckham rehearses with her fellow Spices. Becks and Harper have the best seats in the house for these rehearsals, take a look below.
It’s been a while since she danced on stage with a male professional, so it’s no wonder that David Beckham was keen to watch Victoria Beckham rehearse. The 37-year-old footballer was spotted watching his wife and the rest of the Spice Girls as they practised in London yesterday ahead of their performance at the London 2012 Olympics’ closing ceremony on Sunday. David looked rather serious as he held onto his one-year-old daughter Harper while Victoria held the hand of a young male dancer … It came as no surprise that Victoria was dressed in her favourite colour – black. The mother-of-four wore a pair of super-tight leather trousers, the obligatory sky-high black heels and a black top, along with her sunglasses as she joined her band mates Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell on stage. The male dancer that held her hand as she danced on stage in the ridiculously high heels was dressed smart in a dark suit and it is thought his role may be a taxi driver after the girl group were spotted dancing on top of black taxis. Fans will no doubt be eagerly awaiting their performance to see what songs they choose, but also to see what they are wearing. According to The Sun, Victoria, 38, has overseen the design for the women’s costumes so no doubt they’re going to be worlds away from the leopard-print jumpsuits and chunky trainers that the singers used to wear back in the Nineties. It is thought that Victoria’s children will also play a part in the Spice Girls’ performance where they will play a medley of their well-known hits.
This is all very exciting for Spice Girls fans, I know I can’t wait to see how this performance goes down. BUT, I’m hearing, we better relish this performance … because it is likely the last time the Spices will ever perform together again. As I understand it, Vicki B. is really not into the Spice Girls thing anymore, despite the fact that the other Spices are happy to reunite as often as possible. Now that Victoria is very successful in fashion, she’s really not keen on reverting back to her popstar days. I hear that VB was the hold out on this reunion for the Closing Ceremonies and she only agreed to perform if they others agreed that it would be their last performance ever. Now I don’t know if that will really be the case but it might be a good idea to set those DVRs to record this Sunday night. It is very possible that this performance could be the Spice Girls‘ final performance ever.
