Sharon Needles Wants YOU To Dress Up As Sharon Needles For Hallowe’en

You Can Be "Spooky" or "Beautiful"

Even tho the fabulously avant garde drag queen Sharon Needles won the most reason season of RuPaul’s Drag Race earlier this year, she was not invited back to participate in the first-ever season of RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race (probably because she is still the reigning winner). BUT that doesn’t mean that there isn’t any new Sharon Needles news to share. It will probably come as no surprise that Hallowe’en is Sharon‘s favorite holiday … and this year, she wants YOU to dress up as her for the big night. Sharon Needles is offering Hallowe’en masks that will let you be her for a night … and it’s your choice, you can been Spooky Sharon or Beautiful Sharon.

Celebrate Halloween in creepy style with the release of Sharon Needles Halloween masks, available in two styles, her trademark spooky and beautiful images. The masks will be released on August 20th, and are now available for pre-sale exclusively online at the Sharon Needles Official Store. These artsy costume pieces were meticulous creations between Sharon Needles and critically acclaimed latex artist and mask designer Nikki Dyer of Nikki’s Monster Shop. “I’m so excited to be working with Sharon Needles on this amazing project. These masks were a labor of our love, blood, and sweat for the last six months. We sculpted the masks from the actual shape and bone structure of Sharon’s face, and then hand painted each mask’s make-up in her signature looks.” Make All Hallows Eve a year-round event in these handcrafted, slip latex skins that bring to vivid life the season four winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race. With vents for ears, pupils, and nostrils – Sharon assumes her fans are alive and need these holes – her comfortable design fits most guests preparing to visit any coffin, graveyard, or undead festivity. Fastened with elastic strings, unless one has a preference for rusty nails, and embellished with thick black eyelashes, also useful for securing maggots, these one-of-a-kind conversation terminators will provoke the worst stares and hate-filled gossip at every party. Good luck finding the real Sharon Needles this Halloween!

As a Sharon Needles fan let me say, Woot! As a fan of clever Hallowe’en costumes let me say, Woot! Woot! I was so happy when Sharon won season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, truly. She represents a different side of drag that most people A.) never knew existed and B.) usually shy away from. It’s one thing to have a drag queen who is so pretty, she passes for a real woman. It’s another thing to have a drag queen who is so outrageously flamboyant that you couldn’t mistake her for a drag queen if you tried. But a drag queen who looks scary, creepy and disturbing? Yeah, most people aren’t really into that kind of drag. I say, if you’re gonna be a drag queen, go all out … do what you love … push the boundaries. I would love for Sharon Needles to become as big as RuPaul herself. Now that she’s selling her own line of merchandise and he is now a bona fide Hallowe’en costume, she is well on her way to achieving drag superstardom. What do y’all think of these masks? Would any of YOU like to be Sharon Needles for Hallowe’en this year?

  1. I heard that she chose not to do All-Stars because of her recent win..Kind of bummed me out because she’s one of my all-time faves but I get why she wouldn’t be included..As for the masks, effing RAD! I’m seriously tempted to get one for every day use! ;)

  2. Sharon Needles won an online vote on facebook to compete on all stars. She “declined” because she was too busy, so that spot went to Pandora Boxx instead as she had the second most votes.

    • @Sarah Brewer — I mean, of course Sharon would win the most votes for All Stars, she had *just* won her season. I love Sharon and I think it was smart of her to decline to compete again, having just won.
