Here’s the thing about Johnny Depp as a rock star. It. Just. Makes. Sense! Now this is only the second time I’ve seen him perform (the first time being during the 2012 MTV Movie Awards), but I’m totally sold. And seeing as how music was his first real passion (remember, he dropped out of school to become a rock star and ended up doing film), this whole movement is really working out for him. I would have totally lost it if I’d been at The Hollywood Bowl earlier this week. Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler suddenly announced to the crowd, “We’re going to need a little help out here… Johnny Depp, are you in the house?” Madness ensued as Johnny (newly single, not that I care or anything) sauntered on stage in that friggen crazy sexy brimmed hat and proceeded to rock the ish out of Train Kept A-Rollin’. Watch Johnny do the damn thing in the video; as long as Ryan Gosling doesn’t release a video of himself singing, like, old Keith Sweat songs, this is guaranteed to be the sexiest thing you’ll see all day.
