I don’t know if anyone else is keeping up with Kate, but I’ve become a big fan recently, having seen her in two indie films that were pretty sweet. L!fe Happens came out earlier this year and While We Were Here premiered at Tribeca, and I fell in love with both femme-centered stories, and the roles that Kate Bosworth played. She’s got some serious range as an actress and I really hope we get to see more of that in her upcoming movies. But today is not about movie news for the young actress; Kate just recently spilled the beans on her engagement to Michael Polish (director of the 2006 movie The Astronaut Farmer), so congratulations are in order! Details inside.
E! has the story:
The actress is apparently engaged to director Michael Polish, Bosworth having coolly provided the relationship-status update in a travel diary for Vogue.com.
“On our first day in Seoul, my fiancé…and I venture out to discover Changdeokgung Palace,” the While We Were Here star began a post about their trip to South Korea.
Another happy day, indeed!
Bosworth’s rep hasn’t yet returned a request for comment, but who are we to question the 29-year-old’s descriptor of choice?
Before getting involved with Polish a little more than a year ago when he directed her in the indie film Big Sur, due out later this year, the fashion mag-friendly stunner most notably dated Orlando Bloom and Alexander Skarsgård.
“I had my single moment in my life, but…I’m happily settled now,” Bosworth told E! News in April at the Life Happens premiere.
Oh, and I totally forgot about Another Happy Day, which came out last year. I didn’t loooove the movie, but Kate was amazing as the estranged daughter of Thomas Haden Church. And of course, she’s probably best known for her role as surfer girl Anne Marie Chadwick in Blue Crush. Girl’s got some serious talent.
Here’s hoping she and Michael couple enjoy their walk to the altar!
