P!nk Is The New Face Of CoverGirl Cosmetics

Easy, Breezy, Beautiful.

Move over Taylor Swift, there is a new face of CoverGirl Cosmetics and her name is Alecia Beth Moore … better known as P!nk. As you should already be well aware, P!nk is prepping for the release of her new album The Truth About Love but today there is MORE good news to celebrate. The colorful popstar has been tapped as the new spokesmodel for CoverGirl. Cool, right? Click below to learn more about P!nk‘s new gig as the new CoverGirl It girl.

Singer Pink has landed a glamorous new job. The “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” diva is one of the new faces of CoverGirl cosmetics, the brand has announced, and the timing couldn’t be better for Pink. “I have a lot to celebrate,” the mom of one said in a statement. “I called my new album ‘The Truth About Love,’ and the truth is that I have my beautiful family and baby girl, my new music, and now my partnership with CoverGirl to love.” Pink joins famous names such as Christie Brinkley, Cheryl Tiegs, Tyra Banks, and Molly Sims – not to mention contemporaries like Taylor Swift, Queen Latifah, Drew Barrymore and Sofia Vergara, – and being among “a group of women who have always inspired me – to laugh out loud, let my guard down, or play around with my beauty look – is such an honor.” The Vice President and General Manager of CoverGirl Cosmetics, Esi Eggleston Bracey, said in the statement that it’s Pink’s attitude that drew them in. “Pink is a powerful and provocative role model, who has always been an advocate of individualism and making no apologies for who you are,” Bracey said. “That combination of irreverence and integrity is exactly what the COVERGIRL brand loves about her and identifies with. We have admired P!nk’s art and her attitude for years! We love the energy and confidence that she radiates, and the fact that inside and out she’s as cool as she looks. She’s an awesome addition to our COVERGIRL family.” Pink’s CoverGirl campaign will kick off this fall, around the same time she’s releasing her upcoming album. “The Truth About Love” will arrive September 18.

This is actually very cool news. I’m impressed that CoverGirl has chosen such an unconventional new spokesmodel. When they picked Taylor Swift I thought, Yeah, that makes sense. This decision to go with P!nk is actually pretty surprising. I think it’s safe to say that P!nk is very brash and sassy who has a colorful way of turning a phrase. Big companies tend to shy away from that kind of expression. I find it hard to believe that P!nk plans to tone down her image so clearly CoverGirl is the on making the change here. P!nk is so talented, I’m glad to see her getting an endorsement deal like this. I can’t wait to see what her campaign photos will look like.

I adore Pink and I think she makes a beautiful addition to the Cover Girl brand. Kudos to CG for choosing real, honest, and admirable women to represent them. Pink will rock being a Cover Girl, just like she rocks everything else she does!
