The Infamous Leave-Robsten-Alone Twihard Fan Has A Name

It's 'Emma Clark'

Don’t call her THE Twihard, don’t call her NuttyMadam3575 (her YouTube name), and don’t call her ‘that girl who lost her ish over Robsten and kinda reminded us of Chris Crocker, the Leave-Britney-Alone guy.’ Her name is Emma Clark and, whether you like it or not (I, personally, love it), she’s now an internet sensation. She sat down with Metro to talk about ‘fame,’ the end of generation Twilight, and the day she met the man and the legend: Robert Pattinson himself. I also may or may not have taken it upon myself to post that video again, inside.

Here are a few excerpts from the interview”>:

Why did you start doing YouTube videos?

I started about four years ago. I’d never got into a book as much as I did with Twilight, so I went online and found a huge community of fans. It was amazing so many people cared and I wanted to be part of it. I found out they were making a film so I put together some photographs of the characters with music. The first video was the most basic, cheesy thing. I didn’t even realise I had video editing software on my computer.

Does it make you feel part of the fan community now?

Absolutely. As people watched my videos, I felt accepted by the fans. I now have friends I wouldn’t have had if it wasn’t for Twilight. It’s changed me. I’m more confident and I’ve got a better social life. I go to premieres and do different things.

Do you enjoy the attention?

Yes, I love Twilight and I’ll never stop defending it. It’s a buzz to know that I’m part of it now in some way. People have said I’ve inspired them to do their own videos, which is great. I’m just myself in the videos – sometimes I’ll swear or be an idiot or a bit over the top, the opposite of how I am at work, but it’s quite liberating. If people see me like that maybe it reassures them that they’re not so strange after all.

You seem quite upset in this current video – why?

I thought the story about Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson wasn’t true. But then, just before doing the video, I got an email from a friend about the statement Kristen had released. That was when I realised she’d really done it. I was angry and upset – why would you cheat on Robert Pattinson? I couldn’t understand it.

In hindsight, do you think you went over the top?

No. I wouldn’t say something in my videos I wouldn’t say to the person to their face.

What do your work colleagues think of it?

My boss isn’t massively keen. He knew about the videos when he hired me. He doesn’t judge me but he’s not interested in Twilight.

You’ve received thousands of abusive comments over this video – do you read them?

I’ll look at some of them. People say horrible things and make fun of me because I’m big or different but I don’t mind – they’re still watching the video and putting it on their Facebook and listening to what I have to say… It encourages me to be myself and if that annoys people, that’s fine. Some might say: ‘You’re such a bad actress’, or call me a whale – I just think: ‘Is that the best you can do?’ Putting a nasty comment on someone’s YouTube page?… I got a bit down at first but now I’m honestly not bothered. I was picked on at school and it taught me the importance of ignoring stuff like that. If I didn’t have that attitude, then I wouldn’t do videos in the first place.

What was meeting Robert Pattinson like?

It was at a premiere. He was on the red carpet and someone pointed me out. He said: ‘Video girl’ and gave me a hug and was really nice. I was blown away. I remember thinking it wouldn’t get better than that but it has. I didn’t think there’d be this much interest in a four-minute video of me crying over someone cheating when I don’t even know them. It’s baffling.

The films are coming to an end – how will you cope?

I don’t know. It’s like a bereavement. It all stops soon, which is kind of what got to me about the Rob and Kristen thing – they’re ending, the films are ending, the conventions are ending, no more books. It’s nice I’ve been part of it but it’s devastating.

Call me crazy but I think I’m in love. My boss isn’t massively keen???!!! LMAO. I love it! I love her! And I like that she’s doing what she wants, irregardless of the response! She’s an inspiration, and I’m kind of not kidding. I’m also obsessed with people who are obsessed with anything, so there’s that factor. Judge me if you will, but I’m spending the next 25-35 minutes right here, with Emma.

  1. If you are crazy, Shannon, I am too, because I think I’m in love as well! And her YouTube name is “NuttyMadam”?! It’s just too good. LMAO

  2. She really is the best! Her reactions to the trailers are in a word…EPIC…have u seen any of her other videos?!

    • Lacey Kost, I am making my way through. I’d checked some out briefly when the Robsten thing happened but now I’m really watching… and enjoying… and being scared… but mainly enjoying, lol.

  3. JCZ

Internet sensation? I only just realised there was such a video until I saw this post, and it only has 2 million views. She’s definitely no sensation – even if she copied a previously scripted attention-seeking video for her own attention.

Rebecca Black had more dislikes and more views in half the time, that is a sensation. YouTube is full of so much crap, this is why I don’t go on it hardly, that and Vevo.

  4. LOLOLOL! Shannon, you are so much fun. That is EPIC on so many levels I don’t know where to begin. You definitely have the touch because the second vid you posted is NuttyMadam3575 Hall of Fame. At first, I choked I laughed so hard (no lie). Later, as I watched in its entirety, I realized I had floods of tears rolling down my cheeks and plopping on to the floor. My favorite part is how the camera jiggles…..oh noooooooo

I don’t know about her I always had a feeling that her reaction are kinda overreacted and fake but even if so she still got a chance to meet Rob and I didn’t. Maybe I should start posting some crazy videos on youtube? Now where’s that camera…. ;-)
