Watch: John Krasinski From ‘The Office’ Plays Alongside Olivia Thirlby In ‘Nobody Walks’

This. Looks. Awesome.
Naughty, Artsy, Indie Things

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: nobody does romance like indie. Nobody. Special thanks to PITNBr (and one of my newer Facebook friends) Emma for sharing this on her page today. I got so excited when I saw that Rosemarie DeWitt (who I always think of as ‘the sister from Rachel Getting Married,’ but who’s done tons of other stuff like Mad Men and The United States Of Tara), John Krasinski (The Office), and Olivia Thirlby (Juno, Bored To Death) are playing alongside each other in the new film, Nobody Walks. And then I watched the beautiful/intense/sexy/haunting/awesome trailer and fell in love at first sight. Watch the trailer and find out why it’s always a bad idea for married couples to take in the young and artsy. Especially if the young and artsy look like Olivia Thirlby.

Oh my gosh, and Justin Kirk (‘Andy‘ from Weeds) is in it too! So yeah, done! I’m so on board for this.

Anybody else obsessed (in a totally healthy way) with this cast?

Nobody Walks was co-written by Lena Dunham (HBO‘s Girls). Magnolia Pictures will release it to VOD on September 6th, before it hits theaters on October 12th.

  1. Lexie

this definitely looks intriguing, but after just seeing miranda july’s ‘the future’ and more recently, ‘take this waltz’ … can indie chill with adultery for awhile?

    • Lexie, I didn’t know Miranda July had a recent movie out– thanks for the heads up! It’s interesting that you’re noticing a trend here; hadn’t thought about that. Still, there’s lots of other good stuff coming out so we have plenty to look forward to, I think.

      Thanks for commenting!

  2. Shannon, I am loving all of the movie trailers you post! I’m finding new stuff to swoon about every day. Thanks for having such rad taste in movies :D

    • Samantha Vinochateau, first off I’m stealing your name, s’il vous plait. Second of all, thank you! I have kinda weird (but kinda cool, I think…lol) taste in movies, but luckily I’m surrounded by people with even weirder/better taste so we owe a lot of these trailers to them :)

Anyway, I’m so glad you’re enjoying the posts!
