Blake Lively was recently announced as the new face of Gucci and she is working her ads all up and down. Although, to be honest, this Drive song makes errrvrything look good. Still, Blake should be given some credit. She’s got that ‘golden girl’ Hollywood thing down pat in this, her first Gucci Premiere fragrance video. Shot by Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn in the historic Sheats Goldstein Residence in Hollywood, Blake works it from the window to the wall (well, to a real fancy elevator, and then a really intense desert location), glowing and flowing every step of the way. Looks like she really is the new ‘it’ girl!
What do you guys think of the ad? BlakeLey? She’s not everyone’s cup ‘a tea, but I’ve had my eye on her since The Town , and of course she’s well-known for Gossip Girls. This summer she’s in Savages, but also rocked the ish out of her role in the indie flick Hick (alongside Chloë Grace Moretz and Eddie Redmayne). I’d love to see what else she’s got lined up for the year.

oh i just watched Hick – such a great movie!
as for this video – im not really a fan of any fragrance films, they’re all pretty much the same. but the girl looks gooooooooooood.
nicole, I thought Hick was fun. I’ll shamelessly self-promote and link you to my review here: http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2012/05/hick.html
You’re right about the fragrance films– but Blake makes for some pretty good eye candy so I think she’s doing her job, lol.
you’re review was pretty spot on. overall i really enjoyed the movie, but i dont think it was because of the story itself – i think it was more because of Blake & Eddie
